INTERPRETING SECTIONAL SPACES IDEO OFFICE A building design focusing towards sectional spaces and orientation. Competitive diving is interpreted into a literal chronological connection to the distinct workspaces represented from the diver s mass and void, movement, and rhythm. IDEO works towards innovation not only with the clients, but in their experiential office spaces. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 245 S. Pereria Fall 2008
IDEO s company infrastructure is composed of four workspaces, from initial client intentions to final product. observation area brainstorming conference area product prototyping final production space Sectional Spaces Fall 2008
The intent of sectional separation through a variety of single, double, and triple story interconnecting spaces allows for a unified workspace and effective sense of a constant movement to production. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 245 S. Pereria Fall 2008
SKIN AND STRUCTURE BICYCLE FACILITY PROTOTYPE An installment for the urban office lifestyle and contributing to the green bicycle movement, patrons are assured changing areas before and after their travels. Embracing the existing building, a tectonic touch presents informative thresholds and sustainable systems. A subtle northern light illuminates the steel braced cable structure complimented by the inclined walls opening to the above. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 456 P. Kendall Fall 2009
A reusable catchment water system is used, celebrated by the overhead structure. Offset from the existing building, a transparent wet wall guides freshwater down to the showers and sinks, cycling greywater to the toilets, and disposing blackwater in one trip. Skin and Structure Fall 2009

SPATIAL INTERACTION BIKE FACTORY An interactive environment creating spatial relationships that go far beyond the boundaries of walls and ceilings. Natural light and ventilation are considered in addressing the program and unique wall functions of the facility. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 456 P. Kendall Fall 2009
Spatial Interaction Fall 2009
This wall system is designed to direct a soft source of natural light for the workbenches and storage racks in the youth center workshop. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 456 P. Kendall Fall 2009
COMMUNITY DESIGN FRIENDS SCHOOL Past the chalkboard, this grammar elementary school hopes to achieve the success of real world interaction between the community to the textbook page. Drawing the attention in the main corridor to the aligned park traffic above allows the abutting classroom to integrate with the surrounding ecosystem. This move assists in general societal and environmental knowledge. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 456 S. Costello Summer 2010
Community Design Summer 2010
The school slips in and out of the landscape allowing and contributing to communal park functions with the use of multipurpose green roofs, hardscape pavilions, and paths. Integrating the community and surrounding environment in earlier education can stimulate the mind by the constant applications of the presented material. Jeffrey Scimone ARCH 456 S. URBAN INTERVENTION QUADROR An innovative structural system developed by Dror is explored here to connect urban communities. Discovering different applications with the trestle system specifically, allowed for extensive curtain systems to run along, through, and separated from the structure according its the orientation and scale.
