MPO is undergoing first-ever strategic plan For all the plans the MPO has developed, there s never been a strategic plan for the MPO as an organization.
Many reasons for Strategic Plan The Tomorrow Plan Showed extent of MPO capabilities Recommended MPO role in implementation Water Trails While a form of recreational transportation, water trails was new territory for MPO MPO Performance Survey
Performance Survey Highlights Conducted by Diana Deibler and Company Qualitative interviews (late 2015) Quantitative survey (early 2016) Follow-up interviews (early 2016) Respondents were representative of elected and staff, from nearly all jurisdictions in MPO service area
Key findings Overall favorable views of MPO and staff MPO valued for different reasons Funding more valued by larger members Services more valued by smaller members Interest in additional services Need to clarify role of MPO KEY RECOMMENDATION: Develop Strategic Plan for MPO
