2 INTRODUCTION Rosemex "Penthouse" units are essentially outdoor mechanical rooms. They group in one compact weather proof outdoor compartment, all the elements required to treat or condition mixtures of outside and return air as specified to meet building requirements. FEATURES Coil, Blower, Silencer, Humidifier, De-humidifier and Filter sections are assembled as required in the chamber. Controls and electrical wiring are interconnected at the factory to central control panels. Full and easy access to all sections is provided by a full length corridor with access to each section (optional). The Penthouse unit is designed to simplify both installation and maintenance. Capacities range from 1000 CFM to 60,000 CFM or more, and from 3000 BTUH (Cooling / Heating) to 2,000,000 BTUH or more. Note: The following represents components of a typical Penthouse Unit. It is an integral part of Rosemex philosophy to offer particular design criterias meeting the needs of its clients. COOLING COIL: Coil(s) constructed of copper tube (0.625 O.D.), aluminum fins, steel headers with galvanized steel frame. 2 N.P.T. connections for supply and return. Coil tested at 200 psig. Coil drain connected to funnel drain. MAIN FILTERS: RIGA-FLO 200 (95% efficiency), 24 x 24 x 12 thick, supported by slide tracks for corridor side access. Complete with DWYER series 2000 filter gauge (0-2 ). PRE-FILTERS: FARR 30/30 (2 thick) (30% efficiency). (1) 20 x 20 - (1) 20 x 25 - (1) 15 x 20 and (1) 16 x 25. Complete with side tracks for corridor side access. DAMPERS: Opposed blades, low-leak type, corrosion resistant linkage, extruded aluminum frame and damper blades. LOUVERS: Extruded aluminum storm-proof louvers, for inlet and exhaust air. DIFFUSER PLATE: Perforated plate type at discharge of supply fan section for even air distribution. IN-TAKE HOOD: 45 degree plenum hood covering inlet louvers. Wire mesh (WCG 16 gauge) on inlet of intake hood. MARINE LIGHT: Vapour-proof C.S.A. approved light complete with glass globe, wire-guard and 100 watt lamp pre-wired to lighting switch. UNIT HEATER: Electric-type, ceiling mounted, capacity of 3 kw, 575/1/60, c/w thermostat and discharge louvers. LIGHTING SWITCHES: All switches are 15 amps., 120 volts, c/w pilot light and pre-wired. ELECTRICAL JUNCTION BOX: For power supply 575V and 125V. FUNNEL DRAIN: Silicone gasketed and bolted to corridor floor. STARTERS: For supply and returns fans. Manufactured by SQUARE D, c/w relays and fuses. ELECTRICAL INLET POWER: Plugs for 120V/1/60Hz. ENTRANCE DOOR: Double wall 30 x 72. ACCESS PANELS: Gasketed, insulated for coil removal. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: The entire outside casing of the unit, except the floor, is double-wall insulated construction, consisting of 16 gauge (WCG) outside panel and 2 thick fibre-glass insulation sandwiched between the outside and inside (22 gauge galvanized steel) panels. The bottom panel of the exhaust air plenum (Item 22) is perforated sheet metal. All access doors are hinged-type. All joints are water-proof. All casing panels are coated with a polyurethane finish. A steel base under entire length of unit is supplied with the curb and flashing. Drains in condensate pans and floor drain will be supplied where necessary.
