QUALITY All MFC products are classified E1 - one of the European highest standards for formaldehyde emissions. Since formaldehyde is a toxin and a known carcinogen, all panels are healthy solutions for home furniture. Formaldehyde occurs naturally in wood at a steady-state concentration below 0.01 ppm (parts per million). In glue for wood-based materials, such as urea, melamine and phenolic resins, formaldehyde has been reduced as much as possible. European Standard Class 1 LOW FORMALDEHYDE FURNITURE The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed that E1 grade wood boards are accepted in Europe and are the benchmark for safe level. High concentration of Formaldehyde may cause cancer. 39

Carcase interior and visible sides are edged with ABS/ PVC matching edges. Corner connections on base, wall and tall units are dowelled. Back panels are side grooved and thickness is 8mm. Front panel The choice of material for front panel is Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) and Acrylic surface MDF, thickness of 18/19mm. Wall hardware The nature of the wall must be taken into account without fail when securing wall units and furniture parts to the wall (or ceiling). Appropriate mounting hardware for the type of wall concerned must be used. Correct attachment of the wall units / furniture parts to the wall is part of the installation service and not the manufacturer s responsibility. ALTO drawer box systems The ALTO drawer systems offer an affordable solution coupled with quietness, smoothness and ease of use and has been independently tested and passed the European DIN EN15338 Level 3 standards.
