Others are out of SS 304. The loading capacity of the HLM series range from 30 to 600 kg. The machines are conform to GMP standards and CE certificated. Machine Process: The high speed mixer of the HLM series are used to mix powders and granulates. Working Principle: Powder and granulate is filled into the mix container and is mixed by an agitator impeller. Additionally the material can be reduced to small parts with the chopper and a binder can be added from a binder container. After finishing of the mixing procedure the mixer is emptied by a discharge chute. 1 of 5
Function Of The High Speed Mixer: The HL Pharm Tech High Speed Mixers are used to mix dry powder for tablets and capsules and can be also used for wet granulation (pre-stage to tablet and capsule powder). The mixing is achieved through the rotation of an agitator impeller on the bottom of the bowl. By wet granulation the chopper is applied. The mixing bowl is a flat bottom bowl, on which the lid is attached. There are different components attached on the mixer lid: inspection flap; security switch preventing the opening of the machine lid during the production. Also an exhaust filter and the binder container are integrated into the mixer lid. The discharge valve is integrated into the bowl lid and can be pneumatically opened and closed for discharge. The discharge of the wet granulate is supported by a slow rotation of the agitator impeller. The agitator impeller consists of 3 exchangeable impellers which can be disassembled and reassembled easily. The chopper is build into the wall of the bowl. The agitator impeller rotates with a constant speed and the speed of the chopper is variable. The air seals of the mixer separate the agitator impeller spindle and the chopper spindle from the product bowl. The mixing process can only be started if the air pressure of the air sealing is between 0,2-0,5 bar. The mixer stops immediately if the pressure of the sealing drops below 0,2 bar. During the mixing process the bowl has to be closed tightly. The mixing time can be adjusted with the timer (hours, minutes, and seconds). All signal lamps for the motors and displays for speed are integrated into the operator panel. Also there is a emergency switch built into the panel and an ampere meter to measure the current consumption of the agitator impeller drive. All functions such as a start and stop of the mixing process and so on are done at the operator panel. 2 of 5
