IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY SAFETY FIRST When operating this electric appliance, basic safety instructions should always be followed. Refer to the following for these instructions. 1. Never operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or one that has malfunctioned or been damaged in any way. If necessary, immediately contact Customer Service for assistance. 4. To avoid injury or death from electrical shock, do not operate the machinewith wet hands, while standing on a wet surface or while standing in water. Also, do not use the machine outdoors or in wet conditions. 5. The blades are very sharp be extra careful not to stick your fingers in the machine when cleaning. 6. Do not put any parts of the blender in the microwave. 7. Do not use the blender for more than one minute at a time. 8. Do not immerse the machine directly in water to clean. 9. This machine is for household use only. Any other use will void the warranty. Electrical 3-conductor Cord Set: Appliance equipped with a 3-conductor cord set that has a 3 prong grounding-type plug. It should be properly connected to a grounding-type a 3-grounding outlet unit, and as such, the grounding prong should never be removed. Stainess steel cross blade attachment F PRIOR TO FIRST USE Before using the Gourmia Immersion Blender for the first time, wash all of the attachments and accessories with warm, soapy water. Wipe the power handle with a clean, damp cloth. Dry all parts thoroughly. J G 8 9
OPERATING AS A PERSONAL BLENDER: Make healthy smoothies and juices everywhere you go. 1. Attach the cross blade attachment by pushing the attachment into power handle and twisting until it clicks in place. 2. Place the blender bottle on a flat, secure surface. 3. Add chopped ingredients to the blender bottle. Note: Do not fill the blender bottle beyond the Maximum fill line. 4. Insert the cross blade attachment into the blender bottle and turn the attachment clockwise to secure it to the bottle. 5. Plug the blender into the electrical outlet. 6. With the bottle in one hand, use the other hand to press and hold the On/Off button on the power handle. For additional speed, press and hold the Turbo button. 7. When you are finished blending the ingredients, release the button. 8. Unplug the blender. 9. Twist the power handle counter-clockwise to release it from the bottle. AS A HANDHELD BLENDER: Using the blender attachment, you can easily puree soups and sauces directly in the bowls and pots. 1. Attach the blender shaft attachment with the cross blade by pushing the attachment into power handle and twisting until it clicks in place. 2. Plug the blender into the electrical outlet. 3. Place a bowl on a flat, secure surface and add chopped ingredients. 4. On the top of the power handle, set the speed setting Note: It is recommended that you begin on a low speed to avoid splashing. 5. Insert the cross blade attachment into the bowl with the ingredients. 6. Securing the bowl with one hand, use the other hand to press and hold the On/Off button on the power handle. For additional speed, press and hold the Turbo button. 7. Move the blender around the bowl to blend all of the ingredients. When you are finished blending the ingredients, release the button. 8. Unplug the blender. CLEANING THE BLENDER CLEANING Unplug the blender before cleaning. Wash all accessories and attachments with warm, soapy water. Be especially careful when handling the blades always hold these parts by the plastic. Wipe the outside of the power handle with a soft, damp cloth. Dry all parts thoroughly.
