Major Natural Gas Explosion Winchester, Virginia A subject intent on suicide altered his natural gas furnace thus releasing a large amount of natural gas into the single family dwelling then ignited the gas with a lighter. The explosion damaged over 20 dwellings and sent blast debris ¾ mile away.
