ADSORPTION DRYERS For all applications which require perfectly dry compressed air : high quality air for laboratories, food processing, robotics, telecommunications, laser applications electronic instrumentation and control compressed air systems operated at temperatures of less than +3 C sawmills, ready-mix concrete plants, quarries, chemical and pharmaceutical industries ALC adsorption dryers provide high efficiency continuous operation. Upline and downline filtration with automatic purge are fitted as standard, enabling the dryers to provide dry, dust-free air. Advantages of "ALC" dryers : Dependable continuous operation at maximum capacity Desiccant changes colour when saturated, enabling the dew point to be monitored Low pressure drop Columns pressurised regularly and progressively, ensuring constant output pressure and long desiccant life Tough, compact epoxy-coated steel casing High quality silencers keep noise levels below 78 db(a) Upline filtration: 0.01 micron with submicron filter, downline filtration: 1 micron Simplicity and low maintenance costs. No-mess desiccant cartridges are quick to replace. ALC DOC 05E - 04.05

When one column is drying, the other is in the regeneration phase. Damp compressed air entering the dryer is directed through a two-way valve to the bottom of one of the columns. The drying phase works from the bottom up, then the air is directed to the second two-way valve which draws off a small amount of dehydrated air in order to eliminate, at atmospheric pressure, the humidity in the other column.* The unit is progressively and regularly depressurised through silencers located under the dryer, avoiding any atmospheric pollution and keeping the exhaust noise level low *The air used by the column in the regeneration phase accounts for approx. 15% of the flow rate entering the dryer (this regeneration flow rate must be taken into account when selecting which model of dryer to install). REFRIGERATED DRYERS Safe and easy operation The air that leaves a compressor contains water in the form of droplets or vapour and which can damage machinery and pneumatic tools. This problem can be averted by installing an air dryer. An air dryer uses a heat exchanger to lower the temperature of compressed air and condense the water contained in it. The condensed water is then discharged through a built-in drain. ALF dryers: unparalleled technology Original dual-condenser refrigeration circuit no fan no fan pressure switch energy effi cient Safe and easy to use, just like a home refrigerator maintains a stable dew point temperature of 3 C under all conditions operates at ambient temperatures ranging from 3 C to +45 C with no fl ow correction factor frost-free operation insensitive to dust quiet and clean low pressure drops ALF DOC05E-02.05

"SPH" CONDENSATE TREATMENT UNITS All condensates from lubricated compressors have high hydrocarbon content and are harmful for the environment. It is illegal to discharge these condensates untreated. Treatment of effluents from lubricated compressors Role of treatment units: receive condensates from pollutant-generating facilities separate oils from water collect concentrated pollutants discharge treated water directly to the sewer system. Operation of SPH units: Pollutants are separated in two phases, passing in turn through: a polypropylene cartridge to absorb oil an activated carbon cartridge to absorb residual oil (oil vapour) Degree of separation: < 10 ppm, i.e. 10 mg/l accepted Advantages of SPH units: No separation chamber: no bacterial pollution stemming from stagnant water Separate all effluents, including stable emulsified oils* Collect condensates from all types of purge (manual, automatic, electronic) Separate mineral and synthetic oils** Filter element saturation test kit Overload indicator (on SPH 2100 models) * A special cartridge is required for polyglycol oils; consult us for details ** except SPH 110 which separates mineral oils only SPH DOC 05E - 04.05
