IV Produkt is a privately-owned company in Växjö in the Swedish county of Småland which develops and manufactures innovative solutions for air handling. We have been doing this since 1969. Today, we are the market leader domestically and have the fastest rate of development. Masters of energy efficiency Flexomix was developed to meet the requirements of both today and the future for energy-efficient ventilation. In order for a range of AHUs to be energy-efficient, it is important that a wide variety of physical sizes is available. Flexomix is available in 23 sizes, facilitating optimal air handling. Flexomix can be used in most types of building, e.g. hospitals, offices, industrial premises, schools, hotels and shopping centres. The unit can be supplied as a unit version or as a modular version in order to simplify transport. To make the unit as simple and reliable as possible, our complete EcoCooler cooling unit can be built into the Flexomix. The components are designed to enable easy servicing and maintenance. When installed outdoors, the Flexomix is supplied with a protective roof structure, inlet louvre's and an exhaust hood. We protect resources Air that is extracted via ventilation systems often contains a lot of heat. We do not want to let this heat go to waste and aim to recover as much of it as possible. We do this by using various types of heat exchanger. We recover the heat that is present in the extract air and use it to heat the cold air that is brought in from the outside. The Flexomix range includes many different types of high-efficiency heat exchangers. This enables us to offer the optimal solution whilst protecting global resources at the same time. Heating recovery 22 ºC 20 ºC -20 ºC 15 ºC heating 5 ºC On a cold winter's day with an outdoor temperature of -20ºC, we can recover sufficient heat from the extract air to heat the supply air to 15ºC using a rotary heat exchanger. In this case, we only need to heat the air by 5ºC instead of 40ºC in order to achieve an inlet temperature of 20ºC. Rotary heat exchangers The Flexomix range includes a large number of rotors for heat, cold and moisture recovery offering a low pressure drop and high efficiency. Various versions of the rotors are available in order to optimise your LCC calculation. All rotors have stepless speed control to maintain a constant temperature. Plate heat exchanger The plate heat exchanger is a complete unit which uses heat transfer according to the air-air principle It is primarily used for installations where it is important to minimise the risk of leakage between supply air and extract air. Available in standard and plus versions for optimal efficiency No risk of odour transfer Coil recovery To optimise recovery using liquid-coupled coils, many different versions are available. Recovery coils are suitable for use when the supply air and extract air systems are separate or it is important to prevent leakage between the supply air and extract air. To optimise the recovery process, many different versions are available No risk of odour transfer Efficiency In the industry, the performance of heat exchangers is presented in different ways. The terms dry and wet temperature efficiency are for example used. According to the EN 308 standard, dry efficiency should be used to indicate the performance of heat exchangers. This method is used so as not to give a misleadingly high performance by incorrectly utilising the air humidity. Flexomix 7

Pleasant indoor climate The entire Flexomix range is available with an integrated cooling unit. As a result, you get a turnkey solution for ventilation and comfort cooling which requires no outdoor installations. All the cooling unit's components are built into the air handling unit. You get a complete CEmarked installation for ventilation and comfort cooling, which is always tested at our test facility. A unit with integrated cooling requires significantly less energy than one with an external cooling unit. The Flexomix range includes the integrated EcoCooler cooling unit which is available in sizes 100 980. EcoCooler The EcoCooler is a turnkey solution which will meet your needs for cooled air, low installation costs and reduced operating costs. In some buildings, the air flow varies significantly and a highly accurate supply air temperature is required. The EcoCooler uses a frequency converter to enable stepless control of cooling power. without any outdoor installations With our integrated cooling units, no outdoor installations are necessary. The photograph on the left shows a liquid cooling unit installation with a refrigerant cooler which is usually located on the roof. In the building in the photograph on the right, an EcoCooler cooling unit has been integrated in the air handling unit. This makes for a more attractive architectural solution. Traditional installation on the roof. Cooling recovery The EcoCooler cooling unit is available with an integrated rotary heat exchanger for cooling recovery in sequence with the cooling unit. This maximises energy utilisation and ensures a low connected power load. In all sizes, standard or plus versions of the rotary heat exchanger are available for optimal recovery. Both versions are available with a hygroscopic surface, further reducing energy use. Integrated cooling in the air handling unit means you avoid having unattractive installations on the roof. Did you know that... with the EcoCooler, the operating cost of cooling a 300 m 2 office building is just approx. 200 a year? 22 ºC 16 ºC 28 ºC 23.5 ºC cooling 7.5 ºC On a hot summer's day with an outdoor temperature of 28ºC, we can recover sufficient cooling from the extract air to cool the supply air to 23.5ºC. In this case, we only need to cool the air by 7.5ºC instead of 12ºC in order to achieve an inlet temperature of 16ºC. Flexomix 9

Top performance Fans The Flexomix range is available with wide range of direct-driven fans and motors in order to optimise the fans' efficiency and minimise electricity consumption. Each fan impeller and motor is balanced and test-run together to ensure that they operate optimally, ensuring a long service life. The directdriven fans are intended for speed control and have a built-in rotary diffusor. They offer low sound levels and high efficiency. Belt-driven centrifugal fans with backwardor forward-bent blades can also be ordered with the Flexomix range. New casing gives added benefits Thanks to our rapid pace of development, we are continually getting better at energy-optimised air handling. This product development has now resulted in the entire range being given a casing with an even better design, shape and energy performance. We have worked on innovative solutions throughout the entire manufacturing process, enabling us to offer AHUs with even lower heat losses. According to the EN 1886 standard, the classification of the casing is determined by the U value. The lower the number, the better the insulation capacity. Indoor AHUs ThermoLine Two versions of the casing are available. The standard version is classified under casing class T3, which has a U value of 1.24*. For the best energy performance, you can now also choose ThermoLine, which is a class T2 casing and has a U value of 0.88*. A casing class of T2 reduces cold bridges. In fan rooms with high air humidity, this reduces the risk of condensation forming on the AHU casing. Class T2: U value 0.5 1.0 Class T3: U value 1.0 1.4 H O 2 H O 2 A major advantage of the recentlydeveloped casing design is that we can choose different casing classes for selected parts of the unit. For example, using ThermoLine T2 for the inlet and extract air sections on an indoor unit will offer the most energy-efficient and cost-effective solution. ThermoLine T2 Outdoor AHUs T3 The black plastic insert in the profile breaks the cold bridge and is a characteristic of the ThermoLine T2 casing. H O 2 H O 2 In the case of outdoor AHUs, it is largely the supply and extract air sections which give rise to heat losses. Using ThermoLine T2 for these sections offers the most energy-efficient and cost-effective solution. T3 * Measured in model box in accordance with EN1886. ThermoLine T2 The pay-back period for ThermoLine depends on the installation's operating conditions and energy prices. Flexomix 11

Help along the way We have developed a tool which enables you to perform calculations using the data for your project. Using the programme IV Produkt Designer, you can easily and quickly design your unit to meet different needs. You will receive a dimensioned and finished drawing with technical data containing specific fan power values, temperature efficiency, sound data and much more. The programme generates a three-dimensional model of the air handling unit, which can be exported to AutoCAD and MagicCAD (DXF/XML). You can also perform a separate LCC calculation for an existing or new unit. This will enable you to calculate the profitability of replacing an older unit.
