AcoustiFlo Fans: Retrofit Solutions and Beyond The Most Energy Efficient Plenum Fan in the World!

The AcoustiFLO Modular Fan RETROFITS Ideal for fan replacement inside any air handling unit Module is 35 to 42 deep and 48 in diameter Weight is 350 pounds + motor weight Configured with an odd or even number of fans Odd quantities nest inside each other Proven reliability INSTALLATION Each module ships on a pallet Lift point from the upper arm Spring isolator built within each module for decades of vibration protection MAINTENANCE Simple six step process to remove motors No rebalance required after motor replacement Routine maintenance is the same as any fan For more information, contact Vertical Systems today: Vertical Systems, LLC. 12744 Florence Avenue Santa Fe Springs 90670-3906 Phone 310 451 0630

The AcoustiFLO Modular Fan WHY ACOUSTIFLO? 15% more efficient than traditional fans Enhanced flow path for optimum efficiency Proven Twin Cities fan with enhancements AMCA certified for sound and performance 10-12 db sound power quieter than conventional plenum fans in the first 4 octave bands Airflow monitoring of each fan Direct drive- no belts, sheaves or fan bearings AcoustiFLO fans can be installed inside Haakon units for new construction For more information, contact Vertical Systems today: Vertical Systems, LLC. 12744 Florence Avenue Santa Fe Springs 90670-3906 Phone 310 451 0630

The AcoustiFlo Secret to Reduced Low Frequency Sound An Engineered Flow Path Minimizes turbulence (the diffusers) o Less turbulence = less low frequency noise Maximize sound absorption o (12 inches of acoustic fill) o 10 to 20 db quieter in critical bands The AcoustiFlo Acoustic Platform Requires no additional air tunnel length Improves fan performance It is no small task for a larger diameter wheel to deliver small wheel acoustics in a reduced length air tunnel. Who is AcoustiFLO? AcoustiFLO has provided technologically advanced fan assemblies for the semi-conductor industry, high-rise office buildings, hospitals and educational facilities world-wide for over 20 years. AcoustiFLO began in the 90 s offering the most aerodynamic and acoustically efficient axivane fan towers available to the worlds top tier semi-conductor manufacturers. Utilizing our in-house engineering capabilities, this same technology was applied to office buildings and high tech facilities in multiple cities and sites across the U.S. Adjusting to changes in the manufacture of semiconductors and in HVAC system design, in early 2004 AcoustiFLO developed it s patented modular fan system, the 686q. The 686q offers a blend of the high efficiency of larger fans combined with the modular flexibility and acoustic advantages of smaller multiple fans. Our company headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in Boulder, Colorado. We serve customers throughout the U.S. and world-wide.

No Ordinary Plenum Fan. AcoustiFLO is the performance-engineered, specific purpose plenum fan designed to be the quietest, most compact, modular, energy-efficient fan you ll ever meet. Our products are applied in factory-built, custom air handlers and field erected air-handling systems. Engineered Flow Path 100% Acoustic Cotton fill 12 Outer Diffuser 6 Inner Diffuser Optional Inlet silencer for critical applications Fully integrated internal spring isolation in each module eliminates flex connections All AcoustiFLO products are AMCA certified for efficiency and acoustics and are used extensively on many projects requiring LEED certification.

AcoustiFLO Efficiency Two 10hp fans with a 14% difference in energy efficiency are NOT equal AcoustiFLO s efficiency cannot be matched. Flexibility in blade count and wheel width combined with infinitely variable speed provides a spectrum of typical HVAC pressure and flow requirements at maximum efficiency. Every fan company will tell you their fans are quiet and efficient. The question is can they actually back up their claims? At AcoustiFLO we back up the efficiency claims we make with industry recognized, published, third-party verification. Utilizing a variable speed motor (VFD) and myriad wheel geometries, AcoustiFLO obtains multiple flows and pressures with identical efficiency up to 12 of pressure within the industry motor speed limit of 90hz. By changing three variables: fan quantity, type and speed, AcoustiFLO addresses a broad spectrum of high performance AHU applications. 10% + higher peak static efficiency than competing plenum fan arrays (AMCA Certified) Higher fan efficiency = reduced load on refrigeration plant Up to 12 of pressure below 90hz Motor efficiency up to 94.1% (NEMA Premium) Optional exit guide vanes for max. efficiency In addition to superior acoustics and efficiency, AcoustiFLO s flexibility and broad capacity range offer improved system reliability combined with 100% n-1 redundancy in many applications by applying the proper number of fans in an array. Direct drive only to eliminate drive train losses

AcoustiFLO Acoustics Our patented flow path results in an acoustic spectrum that is remarkably different from ordinary plenum fans or arrays. AcoustiFLO addresses the issue of fan noise much differently than other plenum fans. Regular plenum fans discharge air radially, slamming it into the walls of the fan box or air handler, creating turbulence and generating noise. We engineered (and patented) a curved and acoustically attenuated flow path using a slotted aluminum diffuser to minimize turbulence by gently seducing the air around the curve, under control substantially reducing regenerated noise. For applications where inlet noise reduction is critical: We offer an optional inlet silencer that adds only 19 inches in direction of air flow, making AcoustiFLO 10 to 20 db quieter in critical octave bands. AcoustiFLO is uniquely AMCA certified for sound with all accessories.

Accessories ACOUSTICS Return Air Inlet Silencer Add on option for sound critical applications Reduction of 10 db in 3rd and 4th bands 19" long from plenum wall No impact on aerodynamic performance No impact on efficiency Encapsulated, natural fiber attenuation EFFICIENCY Exit Guide Vanes (EGV) Add on option to achieve highest efficiency Increase static efficiency by 3% - 6% No impact on overall length of fan module Factory installed Key element in exceeding LEED requirements
