Installation Installation. Apply pipe sealant to exterior threads of metal prime valve housing.. If your sprayer has a removable stop sleeve, make sure it is installed into the sprayer. ti98a. Use /6 in. deep socket to install valve into pump. Torque to 0 in-lb. ti97a. Position knob () in fully clockwise position and press onto valve. ti986a. Make sure line on retainer face is aligned with the mark on the valve housing. Kit 6M87: Valve retainer should protrude approximately.0 in. out from valve housing. 0 ti976a 6.
