IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS WHEN USING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES, BASIC PRECUATIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND INJURY TO PERSONS, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING: Read all instructions before using this heater. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials such as drapes, furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of heater and keep them away from the sides and rear of the heater. Extreme caution is necessary when heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended. Always unplug heater when not in use. Do not use any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and / or repair. Do not use outdoors. This heater is not to be used in wet or damp locations such as bathrooms, laundry areas or other similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Do not route cord under furniture or appliance. Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over. To disconnect heater, turn control to OFF then remove plug from outlet. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause electric shock or fire or damage the heater. To prevent possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored. Use this heater only as directed in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons. Do not operate without wheels assemblies attached. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to have a polarized outlet installed. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/ receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/ power strip). Keep this heater clean. DO NOT allows foreign objects to enter any vent or exhaust opening. This may cause shock, fire, or damage to heater. This heater may include a visual over heat alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm flashes, immediately turn the heater off and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperature. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE ALARM FLASHING. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT, AND FULLY INSERT. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS PRE-OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: Carefully remove your heater from the box (please save the carton for off-season storage). Make sure the unit is in the OFF position before plugging the heater into the outlet. Place heater on a firm level surface. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: Plug the cord into a 120VAV/60Hz electric outlet. Turn the heater ON by turning the Heat Selection Switch (A). There are five settings of this unit (OFF): Turn the heat off. The heater is not working. : First position only turns on the first element (375 W). : Second position turns on the first and second elements (750 W) : Third position turns on the first, second and third elements (1125 W) : Fourth position turns on all the elements (1500 W) THERMOSTAT CONTROL: The thermostat switch only works when the heat setting sets on third (1125 W) or fourth (1500 W) position. The first 2 heating elements will always remain on. Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the full HIGH position. When the room has reached the desired temperature or comfort level, carefully turn the thermostat counterclockwise until a click is heard, then turn the switch slightly higher. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain that temperature.
Room temperature is regulated by adjusting the thermostat to a desired position. Turning the knob clockwise will increase the temperature setting. PILOT LIGHT (AMBER) This heater is equipped with a pilot light, which glows whenever the heater is plugged in. TIP-OVER PROTECTION This heater equipped with a tip-over safety switch. When the unit tipped over, it will shut off itself. OVERHEAT ALARM LIGHT (RED) A thermal overheat protector is built in to prevent overheating. When an overheat temperature is reached, the heater will automatically shut off and RED alert light will be on (flash). If this alarm light is on (flash), immediately turn the heater off and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WHILE THE OVERHEAT ALARM IS FLASHING. Turn the thermostat switch to high position. CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS During Season Care Before cleaning, be sure to turn off and UNPLUG the heater. Clean the Heater with a vacuum brush attachment on your vacuum cleaner. This will remove lint and dirt from the inside of the heater. Do not immerse the heater in water. Never use gasoline, benzene or thinner. This will damage the surface of the heater. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO RUN INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE HEATER AS THIS COULD CREATE A FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD.
