Before Use 6 Filling Steam Cleaner with Water WARNINGS Carefully read all instructions before removing Boiler Cap. ALWAYS vent the Boiler (release all pressure/steam) before opening Boiler Cap. Venting is done by sliding the red Steam Control forward to the On position. Always unplug unit and be sure it has cooled completely before filling or re-filling the Boiler at least 10 minutes. NEVER turn on Steam Cleaner if the Boiler is empty! *IMPORTANT* Use tap water or distilled or demineralized water if tap water is too hard. DO NOT add detergents, perfumes, oils or other chemical substances. Follow these instructions to avoid overfilling the Boiler. Be sure unit is unplugged, and has cooled for at least 10 minutes before filling with water. Carefully remove Boiler Cap by turning it counterclockwise. Pour in a maximum of 27 oz. of water using the provided Filler Funnel. Make sure water does not overflow. Replace Boiler Cap and turn it clockwise. Plug unit into 3-prong, grounded outlet Max. 27 oz. Power Indicator Light will illuminate. Wait 5-7 minutes for steam to reach optimal temperature and pressure. Using hot water reduces heat time. NOTE: If no steam is released, allow more time to heat up. CAUTIONS Always drain condensed water from Hose before use or if appliance has been left idle for a period of time. To drain, direct Nozzle into a sink and slide the Steam Control on Steam Gun forward. Once Hose is empty, resume normal use. Never direct Nozzle toward people, animals or plants. Extreme care should be taken when opening the Boiler Cap as it may become hot during use and escaping steam can cause scalding. Be sure unit is completely cool before loosening Boiler Cap. 8 Before Use

7 8 Turning Steam Cleaner On Plug Steam Cleaner into a 3-prong electrical outlet to turn On. Be sure there is water in the Boiler before plugging in. Attach any accessory before plugging unit in. Regulating Steam The amount of steam can be regulated by sliding the Steam Control on top of the Steam Gun. Slide Control forward for more steam slide back to reduce steam, or to turn steam Off. As long as the Steam Control is in the forward position, your Steamer will continue to release steam. Using Your Steam Cleaner IMPORTANT NOTE: When Steam Cleaner has run out of water, steam output will cease. Follow Refilling the Boiler During Use instructions on page 10 to continue using your Steam Cleaner. ALWAYS unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before opening Boiler Cap! 9 Attaching Shoulder Strap Using the detachable Shoulder Strap allows for greater freedom of movement when both hands are needed for cleaning tasks. To attach Shoulder Strap to the Steam Cleaner, simply snap Shoulder Strap hooks to the openings found on the unit. When using Steam Cleaner with the Shoulder Strap, avoid rocking or tilting the unit excessively as this may cause water to enter the hose and be discharged along with the steam. CAUTION: We recommend testing the weight of the Steam Cleaner before using it with the Shoulder Strap. This is to prevent potential injury and ensure it is not too heavy for you to carry comfortably. Using Your Steam Cleaner 9

Using Your Steam Cleaner 10 Refilling the Boiler During Use WARNING! Allow Steamer to cool for 10 minutes before opening Boiler Cap. Use care when opening Boiler Cap it may still be hot and steam may escape, causing burns. If Boiler is still hot, water may spurt out during refilling which can also cause burns. Unplug Steamer. Place towel or cloth over Boiler Cap. Slowly turn Boiler Cap counterclockwise and release any remaining steam. If hissing, wait until last of steam escapes and hissing stops before removing Boiler Cap. Be sure unit has cooled 10 minutes before refilling with water. Refill Boiler with a maximum of 27 oz. of water, using Filler Funnel. (Only use the Filler Funnel supplied. Its nozzle is made from a heat resistant material to prevent it from melting when filling a hot boiler. Other plastic funnels can melt and become welded to the inside of the boiler spout voiding your warranty.) Firmly screw Boiler Cap back on by turning it clockwise. Insert plug into 3-prong electrical outlet. 11 REMINDERS We recommend using distilled or demineralized water as the best way to care for and utilize your Steam Cleaner. If tap water is too hard, use distilled or demineralized water to avoid the risk of staining pale colored fabrics. Do not add detergents, perfumes, oils or other chemical substances. Turning Steam Cleaner Off Unplug Steam Cleaner to turn Off. Any remaining water can be left in the appliance. NOTE: We recommend loosening and removing the Boiler Cap after using appliance to ensure it does not stick for next use. Be sure to let appliance cool before removing Cap. 10 Using Your Steam Cleaner

12 13 14 Rinsing Steam Cleaner If distilled or demineralized water is regularly used there is no need to clean the Boiler. Normally, a periodic rinse of your Steam Cleaner will free it from deposits. We recommend flushing out the Boiler after 10-15 refills. Fill the Boiler with warm water, shake vigorously and empty Boiler to remove any mineral deposits. Cleaning Steam Cleaner If distilled or demineralized water is regularly used there is no need to clean the Boiler. If you use tap water, we reccomend cleaning the Boiler every 3-4 months (depending on mineral buildup). Use a Hard Water Mineral Remover (found in most hardware or small appliance stores). Unplug Steamer and ensure it is completely cool before you begin. Remove Boiler Cap and empty water from Boiler into a sink. Follow manufacturer s instructions on cleaner package, and fill tank with specified amount of cleaner. Empty cleaner from Boiler and fill with water. Rinse thoroughly and empty from Boiler. Repeat until water in tank comes out clear. Replace Boiler Cap and store unit properly. Cleaning of Boiler and Steam Cleaner is the sole responsibility of appliance owner and is not covered by the product warranty. Before first use after cleaning the Boiler, hold Steam Gun facing downward and direct steam into a sink or other suitable container to clear any leftover residue from Boiler. When clean drops of water appear, wipe clean with soft cloth and it s ready for use. Cleaning Brushes and Accessories You can clean Brushes and Accessories with your Steam Cleaner. Steam clean all accessories and be sure to immediately dry each item with a soft cotton cloth. To clean Detail Nozzle, hold at one end and use the Steam Gun to blow out dirt. When cleaning Detail Brushes, use a pair of pliers to hold and blow out dirt as above, or place in the basket of your dishwasher. Maintenance & Cleaning Maintenance & Cleaning 11
