The benchmark of subsurface irrigation imat Irrigation Mat Save up to 70% of water. Second Generation launch takes proven technology one step further! New product features and advantages.

imat Irrigation Mat The benchmark of subsurface irrigation! Water shortage is one of the most important environmental and developmental issues. About 80% of the global water is used by artificial irrigation in agriculture, landscaping and horticulture. We developed and marketed the imat Irrigation Mat, an innovative technology saving up to 70% of water compared to conventional irrigation systems. We launch now the second generation of subsurface irrigation mat system, with many product advantages compared to those currently available on the market: fully combined bonded fleece layers, no threads New, innovative dripline, no wrapping of dripline necessary Enlarged width Easier and faster installation Improved water storage and dispersion throughout the entire mat imat Irrigation Mat Less expensive than prior system How does the imat Irrigation Mat work: imat Irrigation Mat End pipe to be covered with mat Valve box with air relief valve and shut-off valve Made in Germany imat Irrigation Mat to be installed with approx. 10% overlap The imat Irrigation Mat is installed below the entire plant area. Special driplines inserted between two layers of special fleece are filling the mat with water. Due to the capillary effect the water is dispersed throughout the soil available to the entire area and directly at the plants roots. Two options of imat Irrigation Mat: Controller Water supply minimum 3 bar pressuree Valve box E01-TBM40: 0.80 x 50 m = 40 m 2 with 2 driplines E01-TBM60: 1.20 x 50 m = 60 m 2 with 3 driplines Main water supply pipe to be covered with mat 2

Save water, improve plant growth Multiple advantages to use the imat Irrigation Mat: Water saving Due to the subsurface installation almost no water gets lost via evaporation, wind drift, badly adjusted sprinklers,... this subsurface imat Irrigation Mat system saves up to 70% of water, compared to conventional irrigation. Installation, step by step: Water storage The water storage capacity of the fleece improves that one of the natural soil, keeps the water and disperses it to the roots. This feature has a huge impact on water savings and plant growth factors especially in arid climate zones where sandy grounds are most common. Installation Improved plant growth Due to the subsurface installation water is delivered directly to the plant roots throughout the entire ground. As a result plants grow faster and better. This applies especially to all green spaces of semi-arid and arid climate zones as well as sparsely covered surfaces. Simplified fertilization Using a special fertilizer, the imat Irrigation Mat allows a mild fertilization directly at the roots. We offer stationary and fully automatic as well as mobile fertilizer equipment. Connection Ideal conditions for plant growth Due to the subsurface installation the topsoil remains more dry resulting in less pest infestation. The special fleece of the mat stores approx. 4 l / m 2. All excess water is released to the underground avoiding stagnant moisture. Roots grow through the mat. Less vandalism, more flexibility Due to the subsurface installation the irrigation itself becomes invisible. This reduces the risk of damages, e.g. by vandalism. Irrigation is possible at any time while the irrigated green spaces remain usable. This is a great advantage, especially for golf courses, sports fields and green spaces of hotels and resorts. Gray water can be used without any risk of unpleasant odor. Backfilling Completion 3

Second generation technology offers new product features and advantages No Threads! Fleece layers are not sewed together, but fully combined throughout the entire area. This is important for the cutting device to avoid blockage by loose fiber threads. Improved water storage and dispersion in the mat! Two layers of hydrophilic polyester fleece, 300 g/m 2 each warrant a higher and longer water storage capacity as well as a faster water dispersion within the mat. The roots benefit from an optimum of water supply throughout the entire area. New, innovative dripline, no wrapping of dripline necessary The innovative technology protects the emitter from root intrusion. The dripline does not need to be wrapped with fleece in order to prevent root intrusion. As a result, cutting and handling of the dripline is much easier and faster. The usage of a special type of raw material qualifies this dripline for LEED credit 4.2. Easier, faster installation and less expensive installation costs. The imat Irrigation Mat is available in rolls with 0.80 and 1.20 m width. Therefore mat blankets are quicker installed and need less overlap. Only one single cutting device is necessary. For special and larger construction projects the width of the rolls can be adjusted to the required measurements of this project. Product specification: Two layers of special hydrophilic polyester fleece, 300 g/m 2 each Special dripline for subsurface installation, 16 mm: - Flow rate: 0.6 gph/2.3 l/h per dripper - Distance between drippers: 12 /30 cm - Distance between driplines: approx. 13.8 /35 cm - Pressure: 8.5 to 60 psi/0.6 to 4.0 bar - Required filtration: 120 mesh - dripline qualified for LEED credit 4.2 Standard rolls: 0.80 m x 50 m = 40 m 2, 2 driplines 1.20 x 50 m = 60 m 2, 3 driplines Competitive pricing imat Irrigation Mat Due to the new second generation production process the imat Irrigation Mat can be offered at a lower price than before. Subsequently the difference in pricing between imat Irrigation Mat compared to conventional irrigation systems decreases. Made in Germany 30 20 10 Recommended installation depth in cm 4

Customer statements No threads that block the cutting device! Tailoring of mat is much better. Easier and faster to install. We finished the project earlier than expected. 5

One mat multiple applications Residential gardens Public parks and green area benefits In case the customer wishes a 100% invisible irrigation system, or if he has high expectations in regards to the quality of his lawn. Also, this system is ideal in narrow areas, typically found in small residential gardens. Usable day and night, significant water savings, no erosion damaged sidewalks, walls and streets due to overwatering. No broken sprinkler heads damaged by vandalism or lawn maintenance. Green roofs Sculpted greenery and extreme slopes In moderate climate zones, green roofs are the main application for the imat Irrigation Mat: Water storage and conductivity characteristics of the used substrate are increased. Furthermore a rooftop detention system can be omitted. Weight on the roof is also reduced, which has a positive effect on the structural load of the roof. No minimum installation height in order to install sprinklers. Now green roof applications in arid and semi-arid climate zones are possible. Sculpted greenery are an important design element in landscape architecture, but difficult to irrigate in the past using conventional irrigation systems. With the imat Irrigation Mat, these areas can be easily wrapped and optimally irrigated. 6

Track greening Hotels and resorts Especially suitable because of low installation height, low water pressure on site and high water savings effect. Due to subsurface installation no water reaches the adjacent streets which significantly increases road safety. Ideal for green spaces of hotel and resort facilities. They remain fully accessible for guests during irrigation. No need for service personnel to remove garden furniture. Irrigation over the entire green space leads to excellent plant growths and beautiful green spaces. Vertical greenings Special applications / Sport facilities Vertical greenings are an important design element in landscape architecture. We have a wide experience in using different irrigation systems for vertical greenings. The use of the imat Irrigation Mat with Vertical greenings is currently in the testing phase. The imat Irrigation Mat has already been used successfully in diverse special applications. On sports fields the even irrigation of the entire area with the imat Irrigation Mat results in an improved deep root formation in the lawn. This increases the durability of the installed lawn. Areas can be used and irrigated simultaneously. 7
