Pumping To prevent back flow, always use the breast pump while upright. 1. Place the breast shield on your breast so that your nipple is centered within breast shield. **Note** Be sure you have the correct size breastshield for optimal pumping. 2. Turn the Breast Pump on to begin pumping. 3. Adjust the Speed/Vacuum settings to a comfortable level. 4. Normal pumping time ranges from 15 to 30 minutes; time can vary based on the individual. 5. When your pumping session is over, turn off the power and slide a finger between the breast shield and your breast to break the seal and separate. Breastshield Sizing It is important to have the correct size breastshield when pumping. The fitting of the breastshield is important because a proper seal can determine how much milk is extracted and make your pumping session easier. To choose the correct size breastshield, measure the diameter of swollen nipple and choose the breastshield that is 2-3 millimeters wider than the nipple. For a good fit, the nipple should fit into the breastshield neck, but should still have a room to move around. Also, keep in mind that your breastshield size can change throughout your entire experience. Motif Medical offers breastshields in the following sizes: 21 millimeters 24 millimeters 27 millimeters

Kit Assembly 1. Connect the duckbill valve to the bottom of the connector. Screw the bottle onto the connector. 2. Place the diaphragm so the smooth surface faces the down and connect the diaphragm to the top of connector. 3. Place the breastshield into the connector. Tubing Assembly 1. Connect the tubing to the port on main body of the pump. 2. Connect the tubing to the bottle block as shown in the picture. 3. To clean or store after use, disassemble the bottle in the reverse order. Pump Assembly 1. Tubing port for single pumping 2. Tubing port for double pumping 3. Port cover 4. Power adapter port 5. Port cover stabilizer

Preparing to Pump 1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching the breast and pump parts. 2. Check pump components for wear or damage before use and replace parts when/if necessary. 3. Make sure that all components that come into contact with breast milk are cleaned and sanitized appropriately. Assemble the breastshield, diaphragm and bottle accordingly. 4. Ensure tubing is connected tightly to prevent air leakage. 5. Check battery capacity before use to ensure the device is fully charged. 6. Massage the breast for about 5 minutes with a warm towel to promote expression. Massage Mode PUMPING MODES This Massage Mode operates on 10 suction levels. The Massage Mode mimics baby s sucking so that allows the breast muscles to relax and stimulate the natural let down so that breastmilk should flow easier. Expression Mode This Expression Mode also operates on 10 suction levels. The Expression Mode is used for a stronger pull. You can increase the suction by turning up the suction level or decrease the suction turning down the suction level.

Memory Mode You can save your personal settings for Massage and Expression Modes, as well as your optimal pumping session times. 1. Determine the operating sequence that you want to save (Massage and Expression sequence, Speed and Vacuum Levels, and Operating Time). 2. Turn On the pump by pressing the button. 3. Press and hold button for 3 seconds, to start memory programing sequence. The memory icon will start to flash. 4. Operate the pump as desired to program the memory. 5. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to save the sequence. When saved, the memory icon will turn on. 6. To start the saved operating sequence, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The Massage Mode icon or the Expression Mode icon will start flashing as the program starts to run. 7. To stop running the saved operating sequence, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. The pump will return to your last session settings. Frequency Function This feature is accessible during Expression Mode, and does not affect Vacuum level. There are 3 Frequency levels (1-3), which are selectable during Expression Mode by pressing and holding either or buttons for 1 second. The LCD Display will show [CY: --], indicating the current set Frequency Adjust the set Frequency by pressing either or The Frequency will be displayed for 4 seconds, and then the pump will automatically return to normal operating mode. Note: Increasing the Frequency might be accompanied by an increase in noise and vibration.
