Dissolved Oxygen Sensor These sensors have been designed to measure dissolved oxygen based on fluorescent technology. The sensor is available for both submersible and in-pipe (in-line) installations. This sensor outputs a string of data that is then communicated to the connected AquaLynx monitor. Parameters include dissolved oxygen, temperature measurement as well as a variety of other parameters such as pressure, salinity, and RH. For In-line The measurement is provided in PPM or % of O2 air saturation with automatic temperature compensation. These sensors are precalibrated from the factory and ready to use. 2879-C-I The most common applications for these sensors include: water quality monitoring, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, and aquaculture. Principle of Operation A light beam of specific wavelength is sent to a special fluorescent layer in contact with the sample. For Submersible The absorbed light energy is partially released as a light pulse with a higher wavelength. (fluorescence) If oxygen molecules are in contact with the sensing layer the fluorescence is reduced. (quenching) 2883-C-I By measuring the amount of quenching it is possible to determine the oxygen concentration. The advantages of this measuring method are the absence of electrolyte and membrane, the possibility to measure the oxygen concentration in water or in air, and a good sensitivity in a low oxygen concentration. Technical specifications: Mounting Options For most accurate results it is recommended to install the sensor in the overflow cells. The cell is equipped with a flow regulator to avoid air bubbles, which can come from samples under pressure. For in line sensors only. Part No. 952 Scale: 0-20 ppm or 0-200% air This sensor can also be installed directly in-line through the use of a special tee assembly. This tee assembly can be piped in to any 1 1/2 PVC/ CPVC tee and is threaded at the fitting for ease of access to the probe. For in line sensors only. 2638-C-I Temp. Compensation: automatic This sensor also comes in a submersible configuration. The submersible sensor comes with an auto-clean feature which cleans the sensor by use of external pressure on the nozzle. (3 bar max.). The submersible probe can be threaded into a female adapter and submerged. The illustration on the left shows a typical application for a submerged sensor. Turbidity Sensor (0-400NTU) These sensors have been designed to measure turbidity based on the nephelometric method (ISO 7027 EN27027). The sensor is available for both submersible and in-pipe (in-line) installations. This sensor outputs a string of data that is then communicated to the connected AquaLynx monitor. The measuring system consists of an infrared light source, 90 degree scattered light detector, and a detector of the clean lens status. For In-line 2639-C-I The measurement is provided in NTU, this sensor has a range of either 0-4.000 NTU, 0-40.00 NTU, or 0-400.0 NTU. Upon order and selection of range. These are pre-calibrated in the factory and ready to use. The most common applications of this sensor include: water quality monitoring, municipal and industrial water and waste water treatment, and aquaculture. Principle of Operation For Submersible The turbidity follows the back nephelometric method (ISO 7027 EN27027). A light beam is sent to the sample through an optical lens. The 90 degree scattered light by suspended particles is collected by the probe through a second lens and is converted into an electric signal proportional to the turbidity of the sample. 2881-C-I The probe uses an infrared light ensuring that the measurement is not affected by the color of the sample. Mounting Options: For most accurate results it is recommended to install the sensor in the overflow cells. The cell is equipped with a flow regulator to avoid air bubbles, which can come from samples under pressure. For in line sensors only. 952 This sensor can also be installed directly in-line through the use of a special tee assembly. Turbidity Sensor (0-10,000 FTU) These sensors have been designed to measure high turbidity and suspended solids based on back scattering technology. The sensor is available for both submersible and in-pipe (in-line) installations. This sensor outputs a string of data that is then communicated to the connected AquaLynx monitor. The measuring system consists of an infrared light source, scattered light detector, and a detector of the clean lens status. For In-line 2882-C-I The measurement is provided in FTU, this sensor has a range of either 0-100 FTU, 0-1,000 FTU, or 0-10,000 FTU. Upon order and selection of range, the sensors are pre-calibrated in the factory and ready to use. The most common applications of this sensor include: water quality monitoring, municipal and industrial water and waste water treatment, and aquaculture. Principle of Operation The turbidity and suspended solids measurement follows the back scattering method. For Submersible A light beam is sent to the sample through an optical lens. The back scattered light by suspended particle is collected by the probe through a second lens and is converted in to an electric signal proportional to the turbidity of the sample. 2880-C-I The probe uses an infrared light ensuring that the measurement is not affected by the color of the sample. Suspended Solids Sensor These sensors have been designed to measure suspended solids. This sensor outputs an analog signal that is communicated to the connected AquaLynx monitor. This system contains a self cleaning suspended solids detector. The sensors sapphire glass detection window comes with a self cleaning wiper which wipes on power up and every ten minutes thereafter. The measurement is provided in mg/l. This sensor has a range of 0-50,000.00 mg/l. These are pre-calibrated in the factory and ready to use. The most common applications of this sensor include: water quality monitoring, municipal and industrial waste water treatment and aquaculture. Mounting Options: This sensor should be mounted facing against the water flow to prevent buildup on the detection window and keeping it clean and clear for an accurate reading. It should not be facing any surface or strong light as they may cause the sensor to read inaccurately. The mounting attachment provided securely attaches the sensor to the pipe to prevent it from rotating due to water flow. A non corrosive pipe with an external diameter of 34 mm is required. Pipe is not included. To install, wrap the cable protective cover at the sensor end of the cable. Secure the sensor to the mounting bracket and attach the bracket to the pipe. Once bracket is in place on the pipe secure the cable to the pipe through use of zip ties or similar tie down method.
