Safety precautions Electricity and pressurised water and air Do not open the door of the cuspidor during the patient treatment to prevent the risk of an electric shock. The maximum connection voltage to the relays for the external devices is 24V. There are harmful voltage levels, pressurized air, and water inside the connection box. The connection box may be opened only by an authorized service person. To avoid the risk of an electric shock, this equipment must only be connected to supply mains with the protective earth. Connecting devices not compliant with IEC 60601-1 or IEC 60950 may cause an electric shock hazard. Do not touch non-medical devices simultaneously with the patient. There is a risk of electric shock. Only qualified service personnel is allowed to replace the remote foot s rechargeable batteries. Treating patients Check that there is water and not disinfecting solution in the clean water bottle before the treatment. Flush the water lines with fresh water before treating patients after using disinfection solutions. Follow the disinfectant liquid manufacturer s instructions. To avoid the risk of fire, this equipment must not be used with flammable anaesthetics. Using the chair Check that nothing is obstructing the movements of the chair to prevent damage to the system. Beware of damaging the instrument bridge arms when lifting the backrest of the chair. Do not sit on the backrest or footrest. They may bend under your weight. Be cautious when using flammable disinfection/cleaning agents because of the risk of fire. Do not smoke or handle fire when handling flammable agents. Using instruments which are not disinfected or sterilised may cause infection hazard to the patient or operator. Follow the instrument manufacturer s instructions on disinfection and sterilisation.
