O Hare Airport Modernization Project Chicago, Illinois Worked with the City of Chicago, Federal Aviation Administration, and airlines to assist with feasibility, design, and installation of 15 acres of green roofs on cargo replacement facilities. 2007. Montgomery Park Business Center Baltimore, Maryland Green Roof Award of Excellence 2003. Designed 30,000 SF Green Roof, lead ecological site planning. Secured a $92,000 grant for green roof. Facilitated and coordinated with engineers, landscape architects, and city planning to incorporate bio-retention on previously 28-acre impervious site. Installed June 2002. Elevation 314, Takoma Washington, D.C. Lead permitting negotiations with the City to include 700 SF intensive Green Roof into stormwater management plan at mixed-use project. First green roof in the District of Columbia permitted to comply with required stormwater regulations. Installed July 2004. Project received AIA Catalyst Award in 2005 and VA Chapter of ASLA Special Commendation for Sustainable Design. National Park Service Washington, D.C. Designed and wrote specifications for 8,300 SF thin-profile green roof for the Center for Urban Ecology. Installed August 2004. State University of New York Buffalo, New York Concept design for University master plan incorporating ecological site planning and design principles. Villa Erques Eco-Resort Tenerife, Canary Islands Concept Design for integrated water conservation and biological wastewater treatment.
