"This level of achievement is reached only through a strong collaborative effort among the public and private sectors," said Ron Johnson, Chairman of the MSIEDC. "That is the foundation of the MSIEDC." According to Site Selection magazine, the majority of our community s capital investment projects in 2010 were the result of existing industry expansions. This is definitely a clear indication that business and industry in our community is stabilizing and continuing to find growth opportunities. Creating new jobs and increasing capital investment in our community takes a cooperative effort on behalf of local governments, businesses and citizens, added Carney. This ranking advances our commitment to continuing that process and effectively deploying economic development resources both nationally and internationally.
