Recognising the need for expert advice and guidance, Pegasus Group established a specialist consultation team to help guide clients as they respond to the challenges of this changing agenda. Our team work closely with clients to help shape a bespoke approach to pre-application consultation. Our aim is to deliver positive, meaningful and inclusive public engagement in a way that adds value for all involved. Pegasus Group has developed four quality indicators which guide our approach to pre-application consultation. URBAN DESIGN Urban Design and Masterplanning is a fundamental part of the development process. It is about making places that respond to planning, architectural, environmental and engineering objectives in an integrated way. Pegasus Urban Design excels at large scale urban extensions, strategies for area regeneration and detailed design. The work of our Urban Design team is often in support of planning applications and we have a very good understanding of the development control process and planning policy requirements in relation to design. Pegasus Urban Design has an excellent reputation and is well regarded, increasingly getting involved in expert design review and witness work. LANDSCAPE DESIGN Landscape Planning and Design is carried out by an experienced team of qualified Landscape Architects, Landscape Graduates and Environmental Consultants. Our expertise spans the whole development process, from landscape strategies for sensitive rural sites to the detailed design and execution of schemes on site, in both urban and rural areas. Our approach is to encourage and promote the inclusion of landscape planning and design at the early stage of any given project, to demonstrate the value it can add and the positive influence that it may bring to bear in the overall process of the project through to fruition. ARCHITECTURE Architectural expertise has become a very important element of our growth and our new Architecture team is dedicated to making a positive contribution to the built environment. We take on a wide range of projects across all sectors, from single bespoke dwellings to large mixed used developments. As well as designing new buildings we enjoy bringing new life to existing ones, whether that is remodelling/conversions or finding innovative ways to adapt listed structures in conservation areas. Working with other disciplines within Pegasus we can provide a full service from concept design, gaining permissions and overseeing construction to completion. Alternatively we offer specific elements such as feasibility studies, planning and building regulations application. Our work analyses the balance between housing need and housing supply, particularly over the next 5 year period. It is crucial that future housing need is met to help deliver economic growth. Utilising up to date national projections, market indicators and local economic forecasts, our team uses the reputable Chelmer model to consider future housing needs. Our assessments then identify whether Local Authorities have enough supply of housing land to meet their own housing needs.
