IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed as follows: Read all the instructions. Intended for household use only. Do not use the appliance for anything other than intended use. Do not operate this unit in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes. Remove the unit and the instruction manual from the box and remove all packing materials. Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children to avoid injury to themselves or others. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Do not place the unit on or near gas or electric cooktops or in a heated oven to avoid damage. Use only replacement parts provided by the manufacturer. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord, plugs, or the whole unit in water or any other liquid. A short power cord is provided to minimize the risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Always unplug from the wall outlet first. The use of an extension cord is not recommended. 2

Place the unit on a level surface away from walls and cupboards. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or come into contact with hot surfaces. Unplug the unit when not in use and before cleaning. Make sure the unit is unplugged before moving the unit. The blades are extremely sharp, handle with care. Keep hands and utensils out of the food processor while in use to prevent personal injury or damage to the unit. Always use the food pusher, never feed by hand. The unit needs to be fully stopped before opening the lid. To avoid injury, do not place the blade or discs on the base without properly installing the bowl. Always store blades and discs properly to avoid damage or personal injury. Warm liquids are acceptable in the food processor, never put hot liquids in the food processor. Never chop ice in the food processor. Never put frozen food into the food processor to avoid damaging the blade. Never use the food processor for longer than specified to avoid damage to the motor. Before putting any attachments on, always put the bowl on the food processor first. Remove the blade first then empty the bowl of the food processor. Never overfill the food processor, always follow suggested capacity. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism. Do not use outdoors. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. 3

PARTS IDENTIFICATION 4

BEFORE FIRST USE 1. Remove all packaging materials. 2. Clean all parts with hot water, dishwashing liquid, and a non-abrasive sponge. 3. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a cloth. USES FOR FOOD PROCESSOR ATTACHMENTS ATTACHMENT Stainless Steel Chopping Blade Shredder Disc (w/holes) Slicing Disc FOOD Vegetables, meat Cheeses, chocolate, carrots, cabbage Potatoes, cabbage, carrots, celery CAUTION: Never chop ice, frozen or hot foods as this can damage the blades. Note: Since ingredients differ in origin, size, shape and brand, ingredients may need to be cut down to fit in the feeder tube. Never force food down the feeder tube and always use the food pusher when processing. It is suggested to cut meat into one inch pieces for processing. 5

USING THE APPLIANCE Stainless Steel Chopping Blade: Assembly: 1. Place the bowl in the unlock position and twist clockwise to the lock position. 2. Place the stainless steel chopping blade inside the bowl. 3. Put ingredients inside of the bowl and place the chopper cover on top of the bowl then lock in place. 4. Choose desired speed for ingredients and begin processing. Tip: For chopping onions using the stainless steel chopping blade, use the pulse function a few times to prevent the onions from being too finely chopped. Note: Always put the blade in the bowl before you start to add ingredients. Safeguards for stainless steel chopping blade: Do not use continuously for more than 1 minutes and never put more than 2 cups of ingredients into the container. Do not use for mixing flour or nuts. Never chop ice or frozen foods. 6

Shredder and Slicing Disc: Assembly: 1. Place the bowl in the unlock position and twist clockwise to the lock position. 2. Place the desired side of the disc facing upward inside the bowl on top of the rod. Note: There are two sides that are labeled. 3. Place the top cover on the bowl and lock into place and begin inserting food into the feed tube by using the food pusher. 4. Choose desired speed for ingredients and begin processing. Tips: The shredder disc works for carrots, and potatoes and can be used for salads and garnishes. The slicer sides works for carrots, potatoes, cabbage, cucumber, or zucchini. Note: Always put the disc in the bowl before you start to add ingredients. Do not use the machine for more than one minute at a time. Always use the food pusher, never put your hands in the feed tube. During processing, food might get stuck and processing will need to be stopped to clear the chute out. 7

CLEANING Clean after every use. 1. Before cleaning unplug the unit. 2. Wash all parts with hot water and dish liquid. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 3. Wipe the external surface of the food processor with a soft damp cloth and dry surfaces with soft dry cloth. Do not use detergent or abrasives as these may scratch the outside. 4. Once all parts are dry place into the storage box when not in use. Note: Never immerse the food processor housing in water. NOTE: Use caution when handling discs and blades as they are extremely sharp to avoid injury. 8

TROUBLE SHOOTING Problem Machine does not work Disc will not extrude. Motor slows down when chopping. Vibrates/moves during use. Solution - There is a safety interlock switch on bowl, make sure the bowl and lid lock are securely locked in position. - Check the power cord and power outlet. - Always clear any blocked food from the disc before beginning again. - Amount of ingredients is too much. - Do not add more than the MAX line. - Clean and dry the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit. - Make sure that the maximum load capacity is not being exceeded. 9

SUGGESTED MAXIMUM CAPACITY FOOD Sliced or shredded fruit, vegetable Chopped fruit, vegetable Puréed fruit or vegetable Chopped or puréed meat or seafood Dressing, Soups CAPACITY 2 cups 1 cup 1-2 cups 2 cups 2 cups 10

SUGGESTED FOOD DIRECTIONS FOOD TOOL SPEED DIRECTIONS Baby Food Chopping Blade Pulse and High As for all fruit and vegetable purées, cut ingredients into 1/2 to 1 inch pieces. Steam ingredients until completely soft. Pulse to chop, then process until completely smooth. Butter Crumbs (Bread, Cookie, Cracker, Chip) Chopping Blade, Slicing or Shredding Disc High For creaming: Have butter at room temperature. Cut into 1 inch pieces. Process, scraping bowl as necessary. For compound butters, process flavoring ingredients, such as herbs, zest, vegetables, etc. before adding butter. For shredding/ slicing: Use light to medium pressure to shred or slice. Shredded butter is great for preparing certain pastry doughs. Sliced butter is great for serving alongside corn on the cob or freshly made rolls. Chopping Blade Pulse and High Break into pieces. Pulse to break up, and then process until desired consistency. This will make perfect bread/ cracker/chip crumbs for coating meats and fish. Processed crumbs make delicious pie and cake crusts. Fresh Herbs Chopping Blade Pulse Wash and dry herbs thoroughly. Pulse to roughly chop. Continue pulsing until desired consistency is achieved. 11

FOOD TOOL SPEED DIRECTIONS Ground Meat Chopping Blade Pulse Cut meat into 1 inch pieces. Pulse to chop, about 25 long pulses, or until desired consistency is achieved. If a purée is desired, continue to process. Never chop/purée more than 2 cups at one time. Make sure to never process meat containing bones. Ice Cream Chopping Blade Pulse and High Put fruit cut into 1 inch pieces into the work bowl, with liquid and any desired sweeteners. Pulse to break up. Process until smooth. 12
