ROWAN MURRAY FROM RONSTAN Green screens are a cost effective way of greening a vertical area. Natural Habitats design, specify and install tensile cabling systems. Made by Australian based Ronstan, the tensile cabling system provides the structure for plant material. The cable trellis provides essential structure for climbing and sprawling plants like bougainvillea, wisteria and ivy to grow vertically without damaging the facade of the building. Green Screens are a perfect compliment to Natural Habitats existing Green Wall and Green Roof technology and offers unprecedented scalability.

PAGE 3 SIR PAUL REEVES BUILDING LOCATION: AUT, AUCKLAND CLIENT: FLETCHER CONSTRUCTION CO Our hands-on capability can add value to architectural concepts We have a reputation for quality, reliability and success in Green Technology solutions The new Sir Paul Reeves building, designed by Jasmax, was connected by a glass roof to an existing building, creating an atrium on the AUT campus. The existing building held a library and classrooms which required a Green Screen for privacy. The 15 metre high tensioned cable system was manufactured by Ronstan, detailed and delivered by Natural Habitats. Our aim was to minimise the number of components so the wires were swaged into the fittings, which allowed the foliage, rather than the structure to be the feature.
