Techne Hybridisation Incubators Techne HB-1D and Hybrigene hybridisation incubators replace the cumbersome shaker bath and plastic bag method. At least five 200x200mm membranes can be probed in the large hybridisation tube in DNA experiments. Hybridisation can be performed using a minimal volume of 5ml, an 80% reduction over conventional systems, reducing expense and improving signal. The updated HB-1D now has adjustable rotation speed and is supplied complete with a stainless steel drip tray and three large hybridisation tubes. The capacity to run up to five membranes in each tube, without any increase in background, means that a large number of hybridisations can be performed simultaneously. The unit will accept up to 6 large or small hybridisation tubes or 24 mini tubes (6x4). The unit has digital set and display of temperature. The Hybrigene is a compact, stackable alternative to the HB-1D and is the perfect choice when quality is important and throughput is not a priority. The Hybrigene is stackable which makes it ideal for today s modern, overcrowded laboratory - up to 3 ovens can be stacked saving on valuable space. Two Hybrigenes can be stacked under most laboratory benches. The unit will accept up to 4 large tubes or small tubes or 16 mini tubes (4x4). Tube holders with clips are available to carry 64x15ml and 32x50ml conical tubes. Accessories for the HB-1D and Hybrigene include adjustable rocking platforms which fit on the base of the units, allowing hybridization tubes to be used above. Up to 2 (Hybrigene) or 3 (HB-1D) static stainless steel mesh shelves can also be placed into the tube locators, allowing the unit to be used as a simple incubator. UVP 286-872 (supplied with one large bottle) HB-1000 Hybridizer The HB-1000 can be stacked to make the best use of laboratory space while performing multiple functions at varying temperatures and speeds. This incubator features a microprocessor-controlled rotary carousel wheel that is removable to accommodate a rocker plate for all hybridisation protocols in one benchtop unit. Stuart 364-062 SI30H Hybridisation Incubator and Shaker A very versatile 20 litre hybridisation incubator and combined rocker shaker which only requires a minimum of bench space. The incubator temperature is accurately set via the easy to use encoder controls and displayed by a bright LED. Forced air circulation combined with microprocessor control means outstanding temperature uniformity. The safety first design includes an over-temperature protection system that automatically tracks the set temperature and controls the heater in the event of a fault. The smart system displays error codes indicating a fault has occurred or if the set temperature has been interrupted. The incubator also cuts power to the motor if it overheats or stalls. The incubator has a stainless steel interior, whilst the door is constructed from a double glazed panel of smoked acrylic and polycarbonate to provide radiation protection. The up and over door mechanism gives excellent access to the incubator. Conversion of the unit to a rocker shaker is fast and easy. The HC 2 micro-array hybridisation chamber enables micro-array slides to be hybridised conveniently, safely and reproducibly. The chambers can be used in air incubators or waterbaths. Each chamber incorporates a dual humidity system to prevent evaporation of the hybridisation buffer.
