Due to the deign, a permanent, fixed-location intallation i not intended for thi type of unit Dipoal of packaging When dipoing of the packaging material, think of the environment. Our equipment i carefully packed for tranport and delivered in a table cardboard tranport package on a wooden pallet, if neceary. The packaging material are environmentally friendly and can be reued. With the reue of packaging material, you make a valuable contribution to the reduction of wate and the preervation of raw material. For thi reaon, bring the old unit only to an authoried recycling company or to a correponding dipoal ite. 4

Decription of Device The unit i fired directly with heating oil EL or dieel and can be operated with or without an exhaut-ga connection. It i intended for mobile and fully automatic deployment. A fuel container i built under the unit and it i equipped with automatic tank heating, a high-preure atomizing oil burner with optical flame monitoring, a low maintenance axial ventilator, a connection cable with plug, a room thermotat ocket and a fourfold filter ytem. The unit complie with the baic afety and health requirement of the relevant EU tipulation and i reliable and imple to operate. The unit can be ued e.g. in the following area: Drying new building; Point heating of outdoor workplace; Point heating of workplace in open, non firehazard fabrication room and hall; Temporary heating of cloed and open area; De-icing of machine, vehicle and non flammable torage good; Tempering frot-endangered part Working of Device When the power plug i connected to a power ocket, the automatic tank heater i activated for temperature below 10 C. When the unit ha been witched on or when heat i required (automatic function with room thermotat) the upply air fan tart. The fan blow air into and along the combution chamber. When the preliminary ventilation i over, the electromagnetic valve open and upplie fuel to the nozzle. The fuel, prayed under high preure, i enriched by an adequate quantity of oxygen according to the heating capacity and ignited by an electric park. Once a flame i burning, the automatic burner relay begin monitoring the flame. The automatic burner relay control all unit functionality fully automatically and monitor them for afety. After a few econd hot air i blown out.cae of any trouble, or if the flame i untable or tend to go out, the unit i witched off by the automatic burner relay. The fault indicator warning lamp of the automatic burner relay light up. A retart cannot be made before the manual releae of the automatic burner relay. When the unit ha been witched off via the operating witch or the room thermotat, the upply air fan continue running for ome time to cool down the combution chamber and then it top automatically. Depending on the required heat rate the function decribed above i repeated automatically in the cae of an operation with thermotat.. Safety temperature limiter (STB) The STB interrupt the upply of fuel if the unit overheat and caue the automatic burner relay to witch off. If the afety temperature limiter ha triggered, the caue of the diturbance mut firt be localied and eliminated. Reetting via the RESET key i only poible after the enor ha cooled to below ca. 90 C. CAUTION If the afety temperature limiter ha been tripped then the caue of the malfunction hould be identified and rectified before reetting it. The afety temperature limiter i unlocked by preing the reet key [2]. 1. Detach the protection cap[1]. 2. Pre the reet key [2]. 3. Replace the protection cap [1] 4. Releae the automatic burner relay a well. 1 2 In order to prevent the triggering temperature from being exceeded again, the operating condition of the unit hould be checked before reetting the afety temperature limiter. CAUTION Safety equipment may neither be bridged nor blocked! 5

REMKO ATK Proviion for Air Heater When uing the unit, the repective applicable guideline mut alway be oberved. For example for Germany: Combution plant order (FeuVo) for the individual tate Accident prevention regulation (UVV) Heating, flaming and melting device for contruction and intallation work (VBG 43) Workplace directive ASR 5 Workplace ordinance 5 and 14 - excerpt from the accident prevention regulation (VBG 43) Excerpt from the accident prevention regulation (VBG 43) 37 Operating peronnel The unit mut only be operated by peron who have been trained in it operation. 38 Intallation (1) The unit mut be intalled o that it can tand in a table poition. (2) The unit mut be intalled and operated in uch a way that the employee are not expoed to the danger of exhaut gae and radiant heat and that the occurrence of fire i ruled out. (3) The unit may only be intalled and operated in room if a quantity of air uffici ent for the combution i upplied to the unit and the exhaut gae are removed to the exterior. A natural air upply ufficient for the combution i preent if e.g. The room content in m² corre pond with at leat 10 time the nominal heat load in kw of all the unit operating in the room and if window and door enure a natural change of air. (4) In deviation from point 3, the unit can be operated without an exhaut ytem in room if thee room have a ufficient air upply and are well ventilated and if material harmful to health do not reach an unhealthy concentraton. A good natural air upply and ventilation i the cae if e. g.: 1. The room content in m² corre pond with at leat 30 time the nominal heat output of all unit operating in the room and a natural change of air i enured through window and door, or opening which are not locka ble are preent in the region of ceiling and floor for the air upply and for out going air and the ize of thee opening in m² correpond with at leat 0.003 time the nominal heat output in kw of all unit operating in the room. (5) The unit mut not be intalled or operated in room and area where the danger of fire or exploion exit.. 44 Room drying (2) In derogation from 38 ection 3 heating unit can be ued for drying area with adequate air upply for combution without having to route the exhaut gae through exhaut ga ducting to the outide. It i forbidden for peronnel to remain in thee area for extended period. Appropriate prohibition ign hould be put up at the entran ce. 53 Examination (2) The unit mut be teted by an expert a to it work afety pecific condition in accordance with the required deployment condition but at leat once annually. The exhaut value of the burner mut be checked. 54 Monitoring (1) When tarting work, the peron commiioned with the operation of the unit mut check the unit for obviou defect or deficien cie on the operational and afety mechanim and check that the afety mechanim are preent. (2) If defect or deficiencie are dicovered, the upervior mut be informed.. (3) In the cae of defect or defici encie which en danger the operational afety of the unit, it operation mut be terminated. 55 Infringement Infringement in the ene of 710 ection 1 of the Imperial Inurance Code pertain to an intentional or negligent breach of the proviion of VBG 43. 6

Mounting Regulation When the unit i in ue, the afety guideline of the employer liability inurance aociation, the repective country contruction ordinance, and the burning appliance regulation baically apply. CAUTION Avoid underpreure or overpreure in mounting room ince thee tate alway lead to combution-technical problem. Make ure that there i an adequate freh air upply appropriate to the repective forced-air burner capacity (ee name plate) Outdoor mounting Due to the operation of the unit, no danger or unreaonable nuiance may arie The unit operator mut guarantee that unauthoried peron cannot manipulate the unit or the energy upply To avoid damage due to inclement weather, the unit mut be mounted in a protected manner The burner etting hould be checked after every change of location and adapted to the new environmental condition and atmopheric condition if neceary. Intallation in cloed, well aerated room without connection to a chimney The operation of the unit i permiible if the minimum air quantity cited in 38 ection 4 for combution i upplied A afe exhaution of the wate gae i to be enured to exclude inadmiible polluti on. Freh air i fed from below; wate gae are exhauted toward the top Heating Room Warm air generator may only be operated with a room ther motat when heating room. (Acceorie) Make ure that ufficient freh air i fed to enure perfect combution. Freh air i to be fed preferably through window and door or through ufficiently dimenioned opening in the outer wall Safety zone To enure afe operation and guarantee unhindered acce to the unit for maintenance work, a afety zone of 1.5 m hould be maintained around the unit Floor and ceiling mut be fire-reitant Intake and outlet diameter mut not be narrowed or blocked with foreign object CAUTION The unit mut only be intalled in well ventilated pace and not in living area or imilar recreational area. For optimum operation the unit hould not be operated above an ambient temperature of 25 C. Electrical Connection The unit are operated with 230 V / 1~ N / 50 Hz. The electrical connection i made uing a built-in main cable with earthed afety plug The electrical connection for the unit mut be made at a eparate feed point with a reidual current device in accordance with VDE 0100, Section 55. Extenion to the connection cable may only be carried out by authoried electrician, ubject to the length of the cable, connected load of the unit and taking into conide ration how the unit i ued at it location 7

REMKO ATK Exhaut ytem In the outdoor or in open room, the operation of the device i alo poible without an exhaut ytem. However, we recommend a 1 m exhaut-pipe (ee example 2) with a rain hood placed on top o a to rule out the penetration by rainwater and dirt. If the device i ued for temporary room heating, the combution gae may have to be removed to the exterior. The exhaut-pipe part mut be laid in uch a way that a minimum uction of 0.1 mbar i guaranteed It mut be made ure in all cae that counter preure due to an incorrect exhaut ytem i ruled out Malfunction-free operation i guaranteed if the exhaut ytem i intalled in an acen ding direction and with vertical end pipe The exhaut ytem mut terminate at leat above the height of the eave but better till above roof height in order to avoid counter preure caued by weatherrelated circumtance (e.g. wind) The minimum ditance of 0.6 m to combutible part mut not be exceeded Exhaut-pipe part including attachment material are available a acceorie All exhaut-pipe part mut be attached reliably. Their diameter mut not be maller than that of the exhaut nozzle of the device The lateral opening in the exhaut connection mut not be cloed or covered The exhaut pipe mut not be puhed beyond the top (wage) Note for implementing the 1t. BImSchV max. 1 m. More than 1 m. Unit that are not expected to be operated for longer than 3 month in the ame location are not ubject to any approval or monitoring a per the 1t. Commiioning Prior the commiioning the unit i to be checked to make ure that there are no viible defect on the control and afety device, that the unit ha been intalled correctly and that it ha been properly connected to the main. A properly trained peron i to be charged with the operation and control of the unit. CAUTION In cae of defect that endanger the operating afety of the unit, the operation of the unit mut be hut down immediately and the upervior mut be informed! Intall unit in a table poition Make ure that combution air i upplied Make ure that the air can be ucked in and be exhauted freely Avoid overpreure and underpreure in the room where the unit ha been intalled Make ure that enough fuel i upplied. Fill fuel tank only with clean fuel oil EL or dieel with the unit witched off. Do not ue biodieel! Ue only appropriate and clean tank to fill with fuel Paraffin accumulation by low outide temperature. The upply of ufficient liquid fuel i to be enured, even with low outide temperature. The built-in tank heating i only active a long a the main plug i connected with a functioning main ocket and the urrounding temperature i below 10 C It i not poible to get rid of paraffin dicharge which i already preent uing the tank heating. The requirement for thi i the cleaning of the entire fuel ytem Paraffin accumulation can occur even at temperature a low a 5 C. Appropriate meaure mut be taken to avoid thi. (winteried heating oil) Fuel filter Prior to commiioning the unit and before the tank i filled each time, the main filter mut be checked for the preence of grime or the accumulation of paraffin. Connect the unit with the current upply 1. Put operating witch 1 into 0 poition (OFF). 2. Connect unit plug to a uitable main ocket. 230V / 1~ / 50 Hz.. The electrical connection for the unit mut be made at a eparate feed point with a reidual current device in accordance with VDE 0100, Section 55 Heating without a room thermotat The unit run in continuou operation. 1. Plug the upplied bridge circuit plug [2] into the thermotat ocket [1]. 2 2. Set the operating witch to I (ON). 1 The wate ga value of the oil-burner are to be checked and properly adjuted by authoried peronnel to enure compliance with local requirement. The main filter i poitioning beide the filler. Make ure to fill the fuel tank only with the tank filter inerted into the filler neck. 9

REMKO ATK 10 heating with room thermotat (acceorie) The unit run fully automatically with the temperature which ha been pre-elected on the room thermotat. 1. Remove the bridge circuit plug. 2. Plug the thermotat plug [4] of the room thermotat (acceorie) into the thermotat ocket [3]. 3 1 3. Put room thermotat [4] in a uitable place. The thermotat enor may not be placed directly in the warm air tream or attached to a cold urface. 4. Pre-elect deired room temperature on the room thermotat [4]. 2 5. Set the operating witch to I (ON). When heat i required, the forcedair burner witche on automatically; operation of the unit i fullyautomatic. 1 Shut-Down 1. Set the operating witch to 0 (OFF). The air upply fan continue running to cool down the combution chamber and then top at a later time. The fan can run everal time before the unit i finally witched off.! 2. In the cae of longer period of inactivity, diconnect the unit from the main power upply. CAUTION Never interrupt (except in emergency ituation) the power upply until the cool-down phae i completely finihed. Our guarantee doe not cover damage caued to the unit by overheating. In the cae of longer period of inactivity or if the unit are in torage, pleae enure that the fuel tank i alway filled with heating oil or dieel. 4 Maintenance and Service The unit i to be maintained regularly whereby ome fundamental rule are to be oberved to enure a long ervice life and trouble-free operation. After each heating period or even earlier, depending on the deployment condition, the entire unit including combution chamber and burner head mut be cleaned of oot ediment, dut and dirt. The oil filter mut alo be cleaned / replaced at leat once a year or, depending on the degree of contamination of the fuel, frequently.. CAUTION Prior to tarting any work make ure to pull the main plug out of the main ocket! There i extreme rik of injury epecially when the unit lining i open from the fan that witche on automatically Setting and maintenance i to be carried out only by authoried peronnel!. The unit i to be kept free from dut and other depoit and i to be cleaned only with a dry or humid cloth. Do not ue water jet! Do not ue any aggreive cleaning agent or thoe which are harmful or environmentally unfriendly Ue only clean fuel oil EL and dieel, repectively. Make ure to avoid paraffin formation

Empty fuel tank at leat twice a year and rine it with clean fuel Do not ue water! Cleaning the burner Clean the component of the burner a decribed below: Keep burner head clean Wearing part uch a e.g. oil filter, burner nozzle and gaket mut be checked and, if neceary, replaced. In any cae, we recommend the replacement of the oil nozzle before the tart of each heating eaon! The main oil filter i to be replaced (take care of flow direction) depending on the rate of pollution, but at leat before the tart of every heating period The oil filter in the filler neck of the fuel tank i to be cleaned regularly Only have the gauze filter in the fuel pump cleaned and the burner nozzle replaced by authoried ervice peronnel Check afety device regularly. In the cae of reducing heating capacity, formation of moke and/or bad ignition the unit i to be inpected and the burner i to be adjuted Oberve regular maintenance and care interval 1. Pull the photocell [1] from it mount [5] 2. Remove both ignition cable [2] 3. Looen the wivel nut [3] of the fuel line from the nozzle mount. Fuel may leak out! 4. Looen the wivel nut of the fuel line on the fuel pump and rotate the fuel line carefully to the ide. Remove both attachment crew of the aembly plate [4] and remove the burner from the burner chamber. 5. Clean the park plug [6], the oil nozzle, [7] the air flow plate and the opening for light [5]. 6. Check the park plug [6] etting to enure that they match the guideline value. 7. After ervice work, reaemble all part again carefully in the revere order. 1 3 2 4 Make ure that opening {5] i not overhadowed by the air flow plate. Attachment crew of the air flow plate [7] above and between the park plug. Adjutment value of the park plug 2-3 All meaurement are guideline in mm. REMKO ATK Adjuting the air lide plate The air lide plate i et at the factory. The air throughput may only be adjuted to local condition by authoried peronnel. After the clamp crew [K] i a looened, the air lide plate can be adjuted uing the exhaut meaurement. Burner head ca. 3,5 mm Cleaning the fuel tank Slide plate CO 2 - value: approx. 11-12 %; Soot number: 0-1 lt. Bacharach K n If the main filter frequently become dirty n If condenation water accumulate in the fuel Pleae proceed in the following way when cleaning the fuel tank: 1. Uncrew the dicharging crew [D] and dicharge the fuel into a uitable veel. 2. Rine the container everal time if neceary with clean fuel thoroughly. Do not ue water! 3. Pleae ue no cleaning agent which contain olvent. Thee can detroy the inner layer of the tank! 4. Avoid the ue of high-preure cleaner. 5. Fit the dicharging crew [D]. The gaket ring [E] hould be replaced after each diaembly! 6. Fill tank with clean fuel. Do not ue biodieel! Exhaut Meaurement On account of the contructiondependent deign of the exhaut connection (connection nozzle with econdary air opening), it i not poible to perform a correct exhaut analyi in a conventional manner in the exhaut pipe behind the exhaut connection. For the performance of the exhaut analyi the enor of the exhaut-meaurement device mut be placed in the centre of the pipe ocket of the heat exchanger. The meaurement enor i placed through the appropriate lateral econdary air opening in the exhaut connection in the exiting meaurement opening in the pipe nozzle of the combution chamber (ee drawing below). Note for implementing the 1t. BImSchV Unit that are not expected to be operated for longer than 3 month in the ame location are not ubject to any approval or monitoring a per the 1t. BImSchV. Fuel Pump The tandard type of the pump run in a ytem of 1 pipe. The required fuel i ucked in through the uction line S. For the firt tarting and after having emptied the fuel tank, the fuel ytem i deaerated through the burner nozzle. For thi purpoe the unit i witched on. After a poible witch off through failure, the unit i retarted after having releaed the automatic burner relay (take care of waiting time). If, after the 3rd tart of the unit there i another witch off through fault, the fuel filter hould be checked to make ure that they are free from pollution and that they are tight.. Pleae enure that an adequate fill level i maintained in the fuel tank. Approx. 5-10 litre of fuel i required. Converting to a 2-way pipe ytem In thi cae, an additional topper [T],EDP No. 1107374 mut be intalled. 1. Remove topper [U] 2. Screw in topper [T] 3. Reintall topper [U] 4. Etablih return flow [R] T Setting the pump preure The pump preure can only be et if a manometer i connected to the connection [P]. The pump preure i changed by turning the preure etting crew [A]. Clockwie: increae the preure Counter clockwie: reduce the preure The required pump preure i determined according to the heating capacity (pleae refer to unit type plate) and to the nozzle ize. CAUTION P A U Never let the pump run without feeding fuel for a longer period. Make ure not to leave a unit with dry run pump unattended for a longer time. S Cleaning the cartridge filter Regularly clean the cartridge filter [B] of the fuel pump and replace it a neceary. 1. Turn the plug [C] with a hexagonal wrench and take it out of the pomp at the top. 2. Carefully pull the cartridge filter [B] out of the plug. 3. Clean or replace the filter [B]. 4. Pre the filter back onto the plug and crew both of them back into the pump. Adjutment and maintenance work may only be carried out by authoried qualified technician. C B R S U Perfect fuel quality i an abolute neceity for the lubrication of the pump drive. Suction of water reidue hould never take place and, in the cae of etting, uction hould not take place of warping fine dut (e.g. cement etc.). CAUTION An electrical afety check mut be carried out in accordance with VDE 0701 after any work on the unit. 13

Trouble: 1. Air (bubble) in the fuel ytem during tarting procedure. Remedy: Pre fault clearance button of the automatic burner relay, repeat if neceary (max. 3 x). 2. No electrical connection. Check main, main plug and current. 3. No (bridge circuit-/thermotat-) plug in the thermotat ocket. Connect bridge circuit plug rep. thermotat plug with the thermotat ocket. 4. Thermotat etting i too low. Set thermotat higher than the room temperature. 5. Fault indicator lamp of the automatic burner relay light up. Unlock the automatic burner relay by preing the reet button. 6. Fault in the automatic burner relay. Replace automatic burner relay. 7. Fan motor i overcharged. (Fan blow irregularly or i blocked). Let motor cool down. Check light run of fuel pump. Check motor on electrical and mechanical function. 8. Fuel pump i blocked. Check rep. replace fuel pump. 9. Fuel tank i empty. Fill fuel tank with clean fuel. 10. Fuel filter i blocked (dirty).. Clean fuel filter rep. replace if neceary. 11. Nozzle i blocked rep. wrong dimenion (type/ize). Replace nozzle (take care of correct type and ize!). 12. Wrong etting of ignition electrode or damaged inulation. Adjut correctly rep. replace it. 13. Air flow plate of the burner head i miadjuted rep. dirty. 14. Solenoid valve doe not open. Adjut correctly by mean of CO 2 indicator and oot pump (CO 2 : 11 12 %, oot figure by Bacharach: 0 1). Check olenoid valve rep. replace if neceary. The afety temperature limiter ha releaed / i defective. 15. Miadjuted pump preure. Set pump preure by mean of a preure-gauge. 16. Pump clutch i defective. Replace pump clutch. 17. Leakage in uction pipe or in fuel filter. Check uction pipe and fuel filter, replace if neceary. 18. Solenoid valve doe not cloe. Pull off the fuel pipe from the main filter - the flame die. 19. Air protecting grille i dirty. Clean air protecting grille. 20. Diconnection by the afety temperature limiter (STB). 21. Air (bubble) in the fuel ytem. Check air protecting grille, clean if neceary. Releae the STB and the automatic burner relay.. 22. No adequate ventilation. Open door or window. Retart the unit in order to dicharge the air through the nozzle. (Thi procedure can be repeated up to max. 3 time). 23. Photo cell i dirty rep. defective.
