RADIANT TEXTILE PANEL Credit Reimann Architecture
Developed in conjunction with Kvadrat Soft Cells, Weave radiant textile panels by Price provide thermal and acoustic comfort as well as infinite design possibilities. Radiant panels function as part of a hydronic system to provide sensible heating and cooling for superior thermal comfort. Innovative textile technology allows the transmission of thermal radiation through the textile face to provide a unique aesthetic without compromising performance. ENERGY EFFICIENT + + Radiant panel hydronic systems efficiently satisfy the sensible loads of a space while relying on a separate airside system to provide ventilation and satisfy latent loads. + + Hybrid air-hydronic systems require significantly lower supply air volumes than all-air systems, reducing fan power requirements by 60-80% and resulting in a smaller, more efficient system. SUPERIOR THERMAL COMFORT + + Radiant cooling and heating efficiently conditions a space while maintaining a high degree of thermal comfort. + + As a result of the reduced supply air volume requirements associated with hydronic-air systems, air velocities are kept low, minimizing draught risk and fan energy. + + For superior thermal comfort, radiant panels work to change the operative temperature of a space including both the air temperature and the surface temperatures within the space. All-air systems change only the air temperature, neglecting surface temperatures that are an important aspect in determining thermal comfort. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS Available in bespoke shapes and sizes, Weave radiant textile panels are upholstered in Kvadrat textiles to provide colour and texture options for seamless integration with any design scheme. Capable of both heating and cooling, Weave can be applied to most spaces, especially those with high sensible loads, high indoor air quality requirements, or where thermal comfort and energy conservation are major design considerations. Typical applications include office buildings, schools, public buildings and airports that have 50-75% of the ceiling area active with radiant panels. OPTIMAL HEAT TRANSFER + + Weave is made up of three layers: copper tubing, aluminum panels, and a textile panel face, all of which are kept in direct contact to optimize heat transfer between layers. + + The perforated aluminium panels incorporate a saddle to optimise energy exchange between the pipe and the panel. + + A non-hardening heat paste between the saddles and the copper tubes ensures efficient and even heat distribution to the textile panel face. + + The thermally activated textile panel face is held in contact with the aluminium panel using Soft Cells patented tensioning mechanism for optimal heat transfer. The quality of the contact will not diminish over time. v001 For more information visit radiant@priceindustries.com 3

QUALITY CONSTRUCTION & EASY MAINTENANCE + + Weave features an innovative tensioning mechanism that prevents the textile covering from sagging as a result of temperature and humidity changes over time. + + The tensioning mechanism allows for easy removal and replacement of the textile covering in the event of a design change or damage to the panel. + + High quality flexible hoses prevent leaks, can be rerouted as necessary, and allow access to individual panels for maintenance. + + Anodized aluminum components prevent corrosion to maintain the original, pleasing aesthetic. MINIMAL SPACE REQUIREMENT + + The reduced supply air volume of hydronic systems reduces ductwork requirements allowing smaller plenum heights, making radiant systems ideal for installation in tight spaces and creating the potential for lower construction costs, higher ceilings and more usable floor space. + + Air-handling equipment can be downsized, saving initial cost, energy costs and providing more flexibility in equipment location. ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE + + Weave provides an acoustic panel solution for meeting the required sound absorption criteria in many spaces. Weave provides Class B acoustic performance and is typically applied with higher ceiling coverage than standard acoustic panels. + + The reduction in air-side mechanical equipment, inherent with radiant systems, results in less noise, and thus a quieter, more comfortable occupant experience. 6 For more information visit radiant@priceindustries.com v001
