Program Description Gwanak Mountain Dulle-gil Trekking South Korea has a blessed topography, 7% of its landscape being mountainous. Our main campus in Gwanak is also surrounded by a mountain scape, the Gwanak Mountain. At 629 meters in height, Gwanak Mountain surrounds along and around our university providing a unique view. With thousands of trees blanketing the mountain, our campus is particularly famous in autumn attracting many locals and visitors to our campus. During the mountain trekking session, participants walked along the outer edge of the campus through low hills, cozy urban forests, and wide open streams. Participants were in teams of 6 people and participated in several rounds of group missions during the break hours at the mountain rest area. The team that performed the best teamwork won the competition and grasped the joy of winning the game. This group mission while trekking exposed participants to situations where they had to strengthen their teamwork and overcome obstacles together.

Culture Tour Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first and largest of the royal palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty. Built in 139, Gyeongbokgung Palace was located at the heart of newly appointed capital of Seoul (then known as Hanyang) and represented the sovereignty of the Joseon Dynasty. The largest of the Five Grand Palaces (the others being Gyeonghuigung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace), Gyeongbokgung served as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty. At this Royal Palace, AEARU participants changed into the Korean traditional attire (Hanbok) as a part of the Korean culture experience. Starting from the Throne Hall compound, participants explored the Sajeongjeon Hall (the King s officer quarters), Gyeonghoeru Pavilion (the King s living quarters), the pond west of Gangnyeongjeon Hall and the Crown Prince's Compound.
