Almost half of the clothes washers purchased in Utah in 2009 were ENERGY STAR. Together we can help preserve Utah s natural resources. Save 130 kilowatt-hours (kwh) of electricity with a program qualified clothes washer. Conserve 3,365 gallons of water compared to a nonqualified model. A qualified model can avoid the emission of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) by 235 pounds.

You ll pick up $30. Energy savings: You can save up to $150 per year on your electricity bill by getting rid of an old refrigerator or freezer. Models built prior to 1990 can use three or four times the electricity of a new one. More benefits: 95 percent of the refrigerator materials will be recycled. Recycling your old refrigerator or freezer will help prevent about 10 tons of carbon dioxide-equivalent greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere. A partnership between Rocky Mountain Power and the Utah Department of Community and Culture provides free weatherization services to income qualifying homeowners and renters living in singlefamily homes, manufactured homes or apartments. A variety of measures such as insulation, energy-efficient showerheads, refrigerator replacements and compact fluorescent light bulbs may be installed to help you keep electricity costs down and make your home more comfortable. Home Energy Savings Program Terms and Conditions Incentive availability Incentives are available on a first-come, first-served basis according to the postmark date on the application. Please reference the program website at rockymountainpower.net/hes to determine the current status of incentive availability. All equipment and/or services on must your have purchase been purchased of an and ENERGY installed prior to submitting an incentive application. It is required that equipment be purchased and installed on or after January STAR 1, 2010. dishwasher Incentive will not exceed purchase price. Applications must include all information requested. Incentives are subject to tariff approval and may change with 45 days notice. Additional terms and conditions may apply. Failure to provide required information may result in the delay or denial of the incentive. Incentive amounts are subject to tariff changes. Purchase a Modified Energy Factor (MEF) 2.0+ clothes washer and receive a $75 incentive, or receive a $50 incentive for a MEF 1.72-1.99 clothes washer. Qualifying customers Residential customers residing in the state of Utah who purchase their electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedule 1, 2, 3, or 25 qualify. Landlords who own rental properties served by the company in the state of Utah where the tenant is billed on rate schedule 1, 2, 3, or 25 also qualify for this program. Qualifying equipment Qualifying products and services may be found online at rockymountainpower.net/hes, or by calling 1-888-961-6158. 180 kilowatt-hours (kwh) of electricity. 7,800 gallons of water compared to a non-qualified model. When you switch to an energy-efficient model you can save about $15. A qualified model can avoid carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions by about 315 pounds. Application details Rocky Mountain Power reserves the right to conduct random inspections to verify information provided on the application. If your application is selected for review, it will not be processed until the review is satisfactorily completed. Incentive qualifications and amounts are subject to change and termination at any time. Rocky Mountain Power customers should visit the program website at rockymountainpower.net/hes. Rocky Mountain Power issues incentives in the form of checks, not utility bill credits. Incentives are paid to the Rocky Mountain Power account holder. Customers are responsible for payment to contractors. Rocky Mountain Power is not responsible if your dealer provides inaccurate information about the amount and/or conditions of the actual incentive and Rocky Mountain Power will not pay incentives for equipment that is mislabeled or misrepresented by dealers regarding incentive qualifications. Incentives are limited to one per qualifying household per equipment type, except in the case of lighting fixtures and ceiling fans. A household may receive incentives on up to 10 qualifying light fixtures and ceiling fans. Households receiving incentives under the may not receive equipment purchase and installation incentives under other Rocky Mountain Power programs.
