Beautification and Rough Mowing Services Bid #066-17 The City of Lucas is seeking bids for Beautification and Rough Mowing Services on 30 acres of land. The Mowing Season is 40 week long between March and November. The contractor is being asked to mow the locations once every two weeks for a total of 20 times during the Mowing Season. The term Mow shall be defined as mow at a height of three to five inches; tree trim up seven feet off the ground; remove and dispose of properly all trash, debris, litter, etc.; and weed-eat around trees, fence rows, etc. The purpose of this contract is the beautification of the City of Lucas with benefits to the health, safety, and welfare of the general public in Lucas. All trash, debris, litter, etc. within the mowing areas must be removed and disposed of properly by the contractor. Trash, debris, litter, etc. shall not be shredded by mowing or relocated to a site adjacent to the mowing area. The ability of the contractor to remove the trash, debris, litter, etc. from the mowing area will be considered as a performance item in this contract. Sealed bids labeled Beautification and Rough Mowing Services Bid #066-17 for this work shall be submitted to the City of Lucas Attention: Purchasing by 3 p.m. (Central Daylight Time) on Friday, March 24, 2017, at City of Lucas City Hall (665 Country Club Road, Lucas, Texas 75002-7651). Bids received after 3 p.m. on March 24, 2017, will not be opened and destroyed. The City reserves the option to do the following at the same per acre price: A. Reject all bids. B. Extend this bid an additional three one-year terms to cover the Mowing seasons in calendar years 2018, 2019, and 2020. C. Decrease or increase the acreage by any amount. The City of Lucas reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The following areas are to be Mowed as part of this contract: A. 2630 Estates Parkway, Angel Lift Station (0.7 acres) This does not include the area within the lift station fence. B. McGarity Lane Northside (1 acre) The north side from Angel Parkway to the end of McGarity Lane (2900 feet) between the pavement and north of the utility poles (15 feet+/-). C. McGarity Lane Southside (0.3 acres) The south side between Angel Parkway and Allison Lane (1000 feet) between the pavement and south of the utility poles (15 feet+/-). D. Allison Lane Right-of-Way (2 acres) This ROW is divided into two parts: 1) starting at McGarity Lane and proceeding south, Mow 10-foot strip on either side of Allison Lane, a gravel road and 2) for the next 1600 feet, Mow the area between the Walmart wall on the west and the fence on the east stopping on the north side of the W Lucas Road ROW. E. W Lucas Road Right-of-Way (2 acres) This area has two parts: 1) Starting on the west side of the Painting Place (1030 W Lucas Road) Mow the strip between the pavement and the fence line (20 feet +/-) for 1750 feet to the west stopping on the east side of 150 Red Star Road; 2) Starting on the west side Ingram Lane Mow the strip (20 feet +/-) between the pavement and the fence line for 2500 feet to the west stopping on the east side of 2180 W Lucas Road. F. Ingram Lane (0.6 acres) Mow 10-foot+/- strip (or between the pavement and the fence) along the west side of Ingram Lane from W Lucas Road to the north side of 1710 Travis Ranch Road approximately 850 feet north of Travis Ranch Road. G. 500 Country Club Road (1.8 acres) Mow the vacant triangle shaped lot on the south of Estelle Lane, northeast of Country Club Road, and west of Hart Elementary. No tree trimming required. H. 2201 Estates Parkway (2.7 acres) There is an easement that runs from Estates Parkway on the north to the north side of the McGarity water tower site. The strip is approximately 2350 feet long and 50 feet wide. I. 2295 McGarity Lane (0.3 acres) Mow 10-foot strip on the OUTSIDE of all four sides of the McGarity water tower site. No Mowing is required INSIDE the fenced water tower site. J. 745 E Winningkoff Road (4 acres) Mow the area west and north of Winningkoff water tower. No tree trimming is required. K. Orr Road and E Winningkoff Road East Side (2.2 acres) Starting at the north side of the Forest Grove Road intersection Mow the east side of Orr Road, Mow a strip 20 feet+/- wide (or between the pavement and the fence) south on Orr Road and east on Orr Road and east on E Winningkoff Road to the west side of the Winningkoff water tower site. L. Orr Road and E Winningkoff Road West Side (2.1 acres) On the south side of 2555 Orr Road on the west side of Orr Road, Mow a strip 45 feet+/- wide (or between the pavement and the fence) moving south on Orr Road and stopping at Lucas Creek Drive. M. 2020 Snider Ln, Highland Park Trinity Trailhead (1.8 acres) Mow the area within the fence, weed-eat on both sides of the fence, and Mow the strip between the fence and Snider Lane pavement. N. Southern end of Brockdale Park Road, Brockdale Park Trinity Trailhead (2.7 acres) Mow all the area within the fence and the strip between the fence and Brockdale Park Road pavement. O. Brockdale Park Road (0.3 acres) Mow a three-foot strip on the north and east side of Brockdale Park Road from east of Lakeshore Blvd to Brockdale Park Boat Ramp Gate. Mow the south side of Brockdale Park Road from Lakeshore Blvd to the west side of 1640 Brockdale Park Road. P. 1765 Southview Drive, Hunt Lift Station (0.7 acres) On the west side of Southview Drive even with Osage Lane is a gravel road leading to the Hunt Lift Station. Mow a 25-foot strip centered on the gravel road and a 10-foot strip around the outside of the lift station fence. Q. E Winningkoff Road (1 acre) On the north side of E Winningkoff Road Mow a 30- foot strip from water tower (Item J) and Welborn Lane. R.
