HIEP PHUOC URBAN PORT RESPONSES y An integrated analysis should be encouraged that entails geological, p y physical,, economic and social analysis y of Ho Chi Minh Cityy urbanization and of Hiep Phuoc in particular. y A careful and realistic cost/benefit analysis should be undertaken to assess the environmental and economic costs of building a solid foundation for an envisioned satellite town in Hiep Phuoc. y The cost/benefit analysis should compare protective strategies versus adaptive strategies versus relocation strategies. strategies y A multi agency task force may be best suited to the task, combining urban planners, hydrologists, civil engineers, architects, environmental analysts and others to ensure a comprehensive approach. approach (Source: PRCUD s final report)
