Versatile system configurations are made possible by the wide range of pump and detection modules Common Features of DX-600 Modules Front panel layout is common among all modules, featuring menudriven screens that simplify learning and operation. GS50 and IS25 Pumps The GS50 gradient and IS25 isocratic pumps are high-performance microprocessor-based eluent delivery systems with a variable speed, serialpiston design for pulse-free pumping. EG40 Eluent Generator The EG40 generates high-purity, carbonate-free eluents (potassium hydroxide or methanesulfonic acid) using deionized water to minimize baseline shift, improve retention time stability and resolution, and provide excellent run-to-run reproducibility. ED50 Electrochemical Detector The ED50 delivers excellent sensitivity and selectivity for a wide range of compounds through three major forms of electrochemical detection: conductivity, dc amperometry, and integrated amperometry. CD25 Conductivity Detector The CD25 is a microprocessorbased, autoranging, ultra-sensitive conductivity detector with a built-in SRS drive. AD25 Absorbance Detector The AD25 is a dual-beam, variable wavelength absorbance detector. Spectral capability over the full wavelength range of 190 800 nm is provided by two light sources: a deuterium lamp for ultraviolet detection and a tungsten lamp for visible detection. PDA-100 Photodiode Array Detector The PDA-100 is a high-resolution, 1024-element photodiode array detector with low noise and low drift. It uses two light sources a deuterium lamp for UV detection and a tungsten lamp for visible detection to provide a spectral range from 190 800 nm. AutoSelect AS50 Autosampler The AS50 s wide range of features, including sample preparation, temperature control, and chemistry switching, allows customization to fit your IC needs. It provides consistent operation at RSDs of less than 0.3% for reproducible and accurate results. AS40 Autosampler The AS40 Autosampler is a metalfree, automated sample-loading device; it holds up to 11 cassettes of either six 5-mL vials or eight 0.5-mL vials. EO1 Eluent Organizer The EO1 holds eluent containers in a liner for spill and leak containment. A formed-wire bar holds and organizes eluent tubing and air lines. Chromatography Compartments The LC series of chromatography organizers, enclosures, and ovens houses components such as the injection valve, column selection valve, columns, suppressors, and remote detector cells. PeakNet 6 Chromatography Workstation PeakNet 6 is a chromatography data system for data acquisition, processing, and reporting. It provides real-time bidirectional control via DX LAN of GS50 and IS25 pumps; CD25, ED50, PDA-100, and AD25 detectors; AS50 Autosampler; and EG40 Eluent Generator.

GS50 Gradient Pump The GS50 Gradient Pump is a microprocessor-based eluent delivery system. Its variable-speed, serial-piston design ensures pulse-free pumping for the most demanding applications. The GS50 delivers mixtures of up to four mobile phase components at precisely controlled flow rates. The selected mobile phase composition is delivered as isocratic, isocratic proportioned, linear ramp, step, curved, or any combination of these. A digital signal processor (DSP) provides high-speed, extremely accurate control of pump flow at precisely controlled flow rates. The GS50 is offered in a low delay volume configuration for BioLC applications with a vacuum degas option and a continuous seal wash option. GS50 Features All-PEEK flow path supports all IC applications. Flow rate range of 0.05 to 5.00 ml/ min provides the best accuracy and precision over the core analytical (2 9 mm columns) flow rate range. Extremely low pressure ripple (without mechanical pulse dampers) provides smooth flow for high-sensitivity detection with minimal delay volume. GS50 with vacuum degas option and continuous seal wash option Extremely accurate proportioning over the entire 0 100% range coupled with low delay volume, low pressure ripple, and exceptional flow stability result in high accuracy and precision for even the most difficult gradient. System optimization for small void volumes provides excellent sweep through and accurate, sharp gradients. An optional continuous seal wash prolongs seal lifetime by preventing salt crystallization. Program isocratic blending or binary, ternary, or quaternary gradients. In addition to a linear gradient, four concave and four convex gradients can be chosen. Front access to all maintenance parts for fast, easy replacement without disassembling the instrument. Built-in vacuum degas option provides sealed, pressurized, in-line degassing for reproducibility and protection of eluents from contamination and breakdown. IS25 Isocratic Pump For applications that do not require gradient capabilities, the IS25 Isocratic Pump is the DX-600 pump module of choice. The IS25 Isocratic Pump includes all of the easy-to-use, high performance features and specifications of the GS50, except for gradient and multi-eluent proportioning capability. EG40 Eluent Generator Using Just Add Water technology, the EG40 Eluent Generator converts deionized water into high-purity eluents on-line. Disposable EluGen cartridges produce potassium hydroxide eluents for anion separations and methanesulfonic acid eluents for cation separations. The EG40 is compatible with any DX-600 system and is completely controlled via PeakNet 6 software. CD25 Conductivity Detector The Dionex CD25 Conductivity Detector is a microprocessor-based precision conductivity detector. The CD25 incorporates digital autoranging, auto offset, and temperature compensation. Optional thermal control of the conductivity cell, combined with AutoSuppression, provides unsurpassed signal-to-noise ratio, stability, and dynamic range. CD25 Features CD25 cell geometry provides excellent accuracy at both low and high conductivities, efficient sweepout, low volume, and low dispersion. Low electrode mass in the conductivity cell allows for effective temperature compensation for improved reproducibility. The remote conductivity cell can be mounted close to the suppressor or column to minimize dispersion and delay volume. ED50 Electrochemical Detector The versatile Dionex ED50 Electrochemical Detector provides the three major forms of electrochemical detection: conductivity, dc amperometry, and integrated amperometry. Voltammetry is an additional mode that can be used to determine the potentials used for amperometry operation. The ED50 can also be used to monitor ph during amperometric operation and temperature during conductivity operation. AD25 Absorbance Detector The AD25 is a dual-beam, variable-wavelength absorbance detector for Dionex ion and liquid chromatography systems. Broad spectral capability is provided by two light sources: a deuterium lamp for ultraviolet wavelengths and a tungsten lamp for visible wavelengths. Validation of the wavelength accuracy is accomplished efficiently using a built-in holmium oxide filter test. The AD25 can be operated at the front panel or automated with Dionex chromatography software. PDA-100 Photodiode Array Detector The Dionex PDA-100 is a highresolution, 1024-element photodiode array detector with low noise and low drift. EO1 Eluent Organizer The EO1 Eluent Organizer holds eluent containers in a liner for spill and leak containment. A formed-wire bar holds and organizes eluent tubing and air lines.
