A complete range of single and multi-stage axial flow pumps from 200NB through to 900NB for low to medium head, high volume applications which include: Transfer of large volumes of water from rivers and storage dams into irrigation systems Raw water supply for potable water treatment plants High volume product transfer in process plants High yield borehole pumping Features in water parks Duties range from 30 litres per second at a head of 110 meters to 2 000 liters per second at a head of 25 meters for the larger pumps. A full range of impellers from three blades up to eight blades across the range allow for pump selections of varying duties. Turbine The turbine can be configured for single stage or multi stage units, depending on the head requirements. All of the internal components are interchangeable and there are no adjustments that need to be made during assembly that require any special tooling. Column Manufactured from mild steel and coated with an epoxy coating or stainless steel uncoated. Any installation depth can be accommodated by either adding columns or making up custom lengths to suit. Impeller Ring Stainless steel is the standard material for the impeller rings; mild steel is available as an option on the 900NB pump. Impeller Strainer The strainer can be manufactured from mild steel which is galvanised, or from stainless steel. The strainer is used to keep foreign objects out of the intake of the pump and designed to reduce the possibility of vortices forming. Impellers are cast in stainless steel as standard, aluminium bronze and high chrome steels are available for specific applications. All intermediate shafts are manufactured from 431 stainless steel with either mild steel or stainless steel couplings. Shaft lubrication is carried out by the pumped product or within an enclosing tube by oil or filtered water. Motor Pedestal Motor pedestals are manufactured to suit standard motor dimensions and allow for easy installation and coupling of the motor to the thrust assembly using a pin type coupling on direct drive models. For inclined installations the motor is connected to the thrust assembly through a robust transmission shaft. Discharge Head Manufactured from high-grade mild steel or stainless steel, the standard installation angles are 90, 60, 45 and 30 Degrees from horizontal. Alternate angles can be accommodated using a custom-made outlet pipe. Gland Arrangement The standard gland sealing arrangement is a packed gland stuffing box. A mechanical seal can be fitted as an option. Diffuser Situated above the turbine, the diffuser is an important component that converts high velocity energy to pressure energy and is fabricated from mild steel. Thrust Assembly Heavy-duty single or double angular contact thrust assemblies are used up to the 50mm shafts, spherical roller bearings are used for larger thrust assemblies.
