IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS PLEASE READ AND SAVE THIS INSTRUCTION AND CARE MANUAL When using appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including: Read all instructions. Remove all bags and packaging from appliance before use. Wash and dry Instant Steamer before using for the first time. Make sure that the Steamer and its Power Base are completely dry before each use. WARNING: Hot steam! Never place your hands or arms over the Steam Vent while the appliance is in use. When turning off the Instant Steamer, turn the Timer Knob all the way to the left and then remove the power cord from the wall. Before turning on the Steamer, make sure that the Baskets, Trays, and the Lid are properly assembled and stacked so as to prevent steam from escaping areas other than the Steam Vent. Prior to first-time use, steam water in the Instant Steamer, then pour it out. This will eliminate any odors. For maintenance other than cleaning, please contact StoreBound directly at 1-800-898-6970 from 7AM 7PM PT Monday Friday or by email at support@storebound.com. To prevent the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, do not place the cord, plug, or unit near water or other liquids. Never operate the Instant Steamer without all of the Baskets, Basket Trays, or the Lid. All parts must be properly assembled before use. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug. Take special care when removing the Lid as escaping steam may cause personal injury. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. To prevent personal injury, do not touch the surface of the Instant Steamer during or following use. Allow appliance to cool. 4

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Never leave appliance unattended when in use. Do not use the appliance if any of the parts are damaged. Never immerse the Power Base in water or any other liquid; instead, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Always be sure to unplug the appliance from outlet prior to assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and storage. Allow Steamer to cool completely before moving, cleaning, or disassembling. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance with hot liquids. Never operate the Steamer while the Water Tank is empty. Fill the Tank with water before turning on the appliance. When disposing of the Instant Steamer, do not discard with general household waste; instead, drop off at a designated electronic waste recycling facility. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are provided with supervision and instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Do not use appliance outdoors or for commercial purposes. Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces or hang over the edge of tables or counters. Do not touch the Baskets or Lid during operation as they will be hot and may cause injury. Once cooking time is complete, unplug the appliance and wait 5 minutes before removing the Lid and the cooked food. If an extension cord must be used, make sure the electrical rating of the wire is compatible with the Instant Steamer. 5

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas burner, hot electric burner, or in a heated oven. Do not fill the Water Tank with any liquids other than cold water. Do not fill the Tank with warm or hot water. Improper use of the Steamer can result in property damage or even in personal injury. Do not use appliance for other than its intended use. StoreBound shall not accept liability for damages caused by improper use of the appliance. Scalding may occur if the Lid is removed during steaming. A short detachable power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the outlet. Turn the appliance off before unplugging from outlet. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. USING YOUR INSTANT STEAMER 11

USING YOUR INSTANT STEAMER HOW TO USE YOUR INSTANT STEAMER Do not touch the Baskets or Lid during operation as they will be hot and may cause injury. Once steaming is complete, unplug the appliance and wait 5 minutes before removing the Lid and the cooked food. Only remove the Lid by its Handle and wear oven mitts to prevent personal injury when necessary. Plug in the power cord. 2. Fill the Water Tank with clean, cold water, screw on the Water Tank Cap, and place the Tank on the Water Tank Mount. Make sure that the Water Level Pin is in place before placing the Tank on the Base. 3. Attach the stainless steel Basket Trays to Basket 2 and Basket 3, making sure that the tabs on the edges of the Basket Trays snap into the notches on the bottom of each Basket. 4. Place foods in the correct Baskets (see Steaming Chart on page 15 for instructions on which Baskets are best for certain foods and cooking times). 12

USING YOUR INSTANT STEAMER WARNING: Hot steam! Never place your hands or arms over the Steam Vent while the appliance is in use. Scalding may occur if the Lid is removed during steaming. WARNING: Never operate the Steamer while the Water Tank is empty. Fill the Tank with water before turning on the appliance. Do not fill the Water Tank with any liquids other than cold water. Do not fill the Tank with warm or hot water. Do not fill the Water Tank with any liquids other than cold water. Do not fill the Tank with warm or hot water. 5. Stack the Baskets in the correct order on top of the Power Base. Basket 1 should be on the bottom, Basket 2 in the middle, and Basket 3 on top. Then, cover the top Basket with the Lid. 6. Set the Timer Knob to the necessary steaming time (see Steaming Chart on page 15 for suggested cooking times). The Indicator Light will turn on and the food will start to cook. 7. Once the Timer Knob reaches 0, the Indicator Light will shut off and the buzzer will sound. Unplug the power cord and wait 5 minutes for the Instant Steamer to cool. Carefully remove the Lid by its Handle and take out the cooked food. Make sure to be careful when removing the Lid and the Baskets as escaping steam may cause injury. 13

USING YOUR INSTANT STEAMER STEAMING TIPS Never operate the Instant Steamer without all of the Baskets, Basket Trays, or the Lid. All parts must be properly assembled before use. Important Note: The Water Tank has a 1 L capacity. When the Tank is completely filled, the Steamer can create steam continuously for approximately 1 hour. After that, you will need to remove the Tank, refill it, and return it to the Water Tank Mount. You can do this while the food is steaming without disrupting the cooking process. Place similar foods together in the same Basket. Foods that are cut into large pieces, are in a large quantity, or require a longer cooking time should always be placed in Basket 1 (the bottom basket). Foods that are cut into small pieces or that cook very quickly should be placed in Basket 3 (the top basket). When cooking meats, fish, or poultry, place them in Basket 1 (bottom basket) so that their juices will not drip onto other foods. Place any foods that are covered in spices or marinades in Basket 1 (the bottom basket) to avoid accidentally flavoring other foods in the other Baskets. Don t overlap the food or overfill the Baskets. When arranging your meats and veggies in each Basket, evenly spread out the food so that it doesn t overlap. This will ensure that the food cooks evenly. It is important to space out the food so that the steam can easily flow through the holes in the Basket Trays. When cooking frozen meats, always make sure to thaw the fish, meat, or poultry before steaming. 14

MAINTENANCE IMPORTANT: The Power Base and stainless steel Basket Trays are NOT dishwasher safe. Never immerse the Power Base in water or any other liquid; instead, wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. To avoid damaging the appliance, never use abrasive or harsh cleaning products to clean the Instant Steamer. Note: The Water Tank, Water Tank Cap, Water Level Pin, and the Tank Mount must be cleaned regularly to prevent mineral and food residue build-up. In order to keep your Instant Steamer in pristine working order, follow the cleaning recommendations after each use: 1. Before cleaning or moving the appliance, unplug the Steamer and allow it to cool completely. 2. Detach the stainless steel Basket Trays from Basket 2 and Basket 3. 3. Wash the Water Tank, Water Tank Cap, Water Level Pin, Lid, and Baskets in warm, soapy water or place in the dishwasher. Rinse and dry thoroughly. 4. Hand wash the stainless steel Basket Trays with warm water and soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not place the Basket Trays in the dishwasher. 5. Pour out remaining water from Power Base and wipe down the Base with a soft, wet cloth. Make sure to wipe out the Water Tank Mount to avoid residue or mineral build-up. 6. Dry all parts thoroughly. When storing, attach the Basket Trays to the Baskets, stack the Baskets in the correct order, and cover with the Lid. Insert the Water Level Pin into the Power Base. Attach the Water Tank Cap to the Tank and place it on the Water Tank Mount. Store appliance in a cool, dry place.
