NEVER add fragrance or oil in the water, it will cause the machine to malfunction and void the warranty. READ AND SAVE THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing this humidifier. Each unit has been manufactured to ensure safety and reliability. Before using for the first time, please read the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following: 1. Use this humidifier only as described in this manual. Other use not recommended may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons. 2. Always have water in the water tank when operating the unit. 3. Use only clean, cool tap water to fill the tank. If you have hard tap water, it is strongly suggested to use distilled water. 4. Be sure the cap of the water tank is firmly tightened. 5. When adding water to the tank, make sure water does not enter the mist output opening. 6. During operation, rotate the mist nozzle so it aims away from children, walls, electronics and furniture. 7. This product is intended for household use ONLY and not for commercial, industrial or outdoor use. 8. Do no add medication of any type into the nozzle, base or water tank. 9. Do not cover any openings on the unit or insert objects into any openings. 10. Do not place the unit near gas or electric stove or in a heated oven. 11. Do not tilt or tip the unit or attempt to empty or fill while in operation. 12. Do not leave the unit unattended in closed rooms as the air could become saturated and leave condensation on walls or furniture. Always leave the room door / window partly open. 13. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water or other liquids. 14. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over. 15. Do not use two-way or multipoint adaptor socket with other appliance. 16. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 17. Turn the unit OFF and unplug from the outlet when not in use, when moving from one location to another and before cleaning. 18. To disconnect, first turn the unit OFF, grip the plug and pull from the wall outlet. Never pull the cord. 19. Do not force the Adjustable Misting Outlet to a certain angle. To adjust the angle, lift up the misting outlet and place it in desired position. 20. Do not operate the humidifier in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes. 21. Do not place the humidifier or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance. 22. Do not operate humidifier with a damaged cord or plug, or if the product malfunctions, or dropped and damaged in any manner (see warranty). 23. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be hazardous. 24. Place the humidifier on a flat, level surface away from direct sunlight. Keep away from edge of counter/table. 25. Do not operate if the housing is damaged. 26. A loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and a distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet. 27. Do not place within 5 feet to a TV, computer, mobile phone or other electronics as the mist may cause damages. To prolong the life of this humidifier, using distilled water is highly recommended. Do not add fragrance or oil in the water, it will cause the machine to malfunction and void the warranty. 1

POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is intended to fit only one way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature. SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS A short power supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use and if they are of proper voltage and plug compatibility. If extension cord is used: 1. The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; and 2. The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally. ELECTRIC POWER If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, your appliance may not operate properly. It should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other appliances. 120V AC Power Supply Only BEFORE EACH USE HUMIDIFIER PLACEMENT Place the humidifier on an elevated, non-metallic, lint-free, water-resistant, level surface at least 5 inches away from walls, heat sources, and ledges. DO NOT place on carpet, towel or fabrics. The fan vent is located on the bottom of the water basin. The fan vent MUST NOT be obstructed. DO NOT place the humidifier on a wooden surface or near furniture and electronics (laptop, cell phone, tablets, etc) than can be damaged by moisture. CHECK FAN VENT The fan vent is located on the bottom of the humidifier. The purpose of the fan vent is to blow the cool mist through the mist outlet. It is important that this part be kept clean and free of any obstructions. We recommend checking the fan vent before using this item (i.e. free of lint, paper, etc.). Do not place the humidifier on top of a towel or carpeted surface. The fan vent on the bottom may become blocked and overheat the humidifier. CAUTION: DO NOT operate the humidifier without water in the water tank DO NOT plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands as electric shock may occur. NOTE ON HUMIDITY LEVEL It is best to keep the humidity level between 30~50 percent of relative humidity. The comfort level of humidity will vary from room to room and with changing room conditions. In cold weather, windows and sometimes walls may fog or develop frost from excessive indoor humidity. If this occurs, reduce the mist intensity setting to avoid damage from condensed water drippings. Too much humidity in the room may allow moisture to accumulate on surfaces where bacteria and fungi can grow. Moisture that gathers may also damage furniture, walls and wallpaper. To eliminate excessive humidity, especially in smaller rooms, leave the room door or window open and adjust the mist intensity control accordingly. 2

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS NOTE: this is an ULTRASONIC COOL MIST humidifier. The mist is cool. There is no steaming or boiling of water. 1. Place unit on a smooth level surface that can support the unit when filled with water. 2. Make sure the unit is unplugged and in the off position. 3. Remove the adjustable misting outlet. 4. Lift the water tank and turn upside down. 5. Unscrew cap from water tank by turning the cap counterclockwise. 6. Fill with COOL tap water or DISTILLED water up to the max fill line. Do not overfill. NOTE: DO NOT use hot water DO NOT add fragrance or oil in the water it will cause malfunction of the unit! DO NOT pour water into the misting outlet. When carrying a filled water tank, place one hand under for support. 7. Screw the cap back on by turning cap clockwise. Do not over tighten. 8. Turn the water tank right-side up and carefully place the water tank onto the base, be sure tank is correctly aligned with base and there is no gap between the tank and base. NOTE: DO NOT attempt to move the humidifier while water tank is in place. Doing so may cause leakage of water. Also, do not place humidifier on the floor. Place humidifier on an elevated, lint-free, waterproof, level surface for best performance. 4

9. Place the adjustable misting outlet back in place, on top of the water tank. Plug the power cord into a 120V wall socket. 10. Turn the mist dial clockwise to turn on unit. The indicator light will illuminate. INDICATOR LIGHT STATUS: GREEN: There is enough water in the base and unit is in operation. RED: Water tank is empty and needs to be refilled. NOTE: It may take 15 to 30 seconds for the green indicator light to come on. As the water fills the basin, that is the amount of time needed for the water sensor to sense the water level. 11. Turn the dial to adjust mist intensity, turn the dial clockwise to increase and counter-clockwise to decrease. NOTE: When set at the max intensity, it is normal to hear a faint humming sound. 12. When the humidifier runs out of water, the indicator light will turn red and the mist output will stop. This is a safety feature to prevent the humidifier from possibly overheating. Turn the mist dial counterclockwise to OFF, unplug unit and refill water tank. NOTE: If the Red indicator light illuminates after powering on, either the unit is out of water or tank is not properly aligned. Once the water tank is in place, do not attempt to move the humidifier. If it has to be moved, unplug the unit and drain water from the base before moving. NEVER REMOVE THE WATER TANK WHILE IT IS PLUGGED AND IN USE. WARNING: When selecting the correct humidity output, make sure that the mist intensity is not set too high, because the mist may not be fully absorbed by the air and may accumulate on surfaces around the humidifier. If the humidifier is placed near a fan or air conditioning outlet, the mist may be forced in a different direction, due to air pressure. Change the location of the humidifier or reduce the output of other room conditioning appliances. REFILLING THE WATER TANK 1. Always make sure the unit is unplugged and in the OFF position. 2. Carefully lift the water tank up and hold in upright position (over the base) for about 15 seconds to allow excess water to drip into the water basin. 3. Turn the water tank upside down, with cap facing towards the ceiling, to refill. 5

CARE & MAINTAINENCE WARNING: DO NOT leave water in the tank or basin when unit is not to be used as it may result in the build up of mineral deposits and bacteria that can inhibit the output efficiency of the humidifier. If water remains in the tank or basin for more than a day or two, bacterial growth is possible. Turn off power and unplug unit before cleaning. Never use a detergent or any cleaning chemicals to clean the tank or base. Detergent dissolved in the water supply can interfere with the mist output. If water tank or base is extremely dirty, soak with a mild bleach (or vinegar) and water solution and rinse clean. Never use detergent. Wipe the exterior of the body with a damp cloth. Do not spray water or any liquid onto the control. Never immerse the base in water or let water enter the air outlet or other openings. Clean and rinse the water tank and mist nozzle with lukewarm water frequently to avoid mineral build up. Keep the nebulizer (silver plate in the base) and water sensor free of mineral deposits. Remove the water tank and empty the reservoir. Clean the nebulizer and sensor with a soft brush (old toothbrush). Do not scrape the nebulizer or water sensor. Do not clean with tools that have metal parts. NOTE: always empty the tank and base if not planning to use the unit for a few days. WARNING: NEVER RUN THE HUMIDIFIER WITH A CLEANING SOLUTION IN THE TANK. WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE WATER BASIN IN WATER. WARMING: NEVER PUT ANY PARTS OF THIS PRODUCT IN THE DISHWASHER STORAGE Save the box for off-season storage. Clean the tank, base and all parts thoroughly and dry completely before storage. Make sure the interior of the tank is completely dried before returning capping. If water is left in the unit during storage, it may harden and leave deposits that may affect the unit from operating properly. Leave the cap of the water tank loose. This will prevent the cap and gasket from sticking together and prolong the life of the gasket. Store the humidifier in a cool, dry place. Do not place any items on top of the humidifier as this may result in possible damage. Keep the cord away from metal objects. Always check the plug before use. 6

TROUBLESHOOTING Humidifier does not work at all: Check if circuit is tripped. Check if unit is properly plugged into a 120V power outlet. Check if mist dial is turned to the ON position. If green or red indicator light does not turn on, contact Customer Service at 800-330-0388. The indicator light is red and not turning green. Humidifier was working, then stopped: Check and make sure water tank cap is securely in place. Check and make sure water tank is seated properly in place. If there is water in the tank, the water level in the base may be too full. Unplug the unit, remove tank and empty the water in the base. Replace tank and allow water to fill base. Power indicator light is green but there is no mist being emitted: Check and make sure there is enough water in the tank. Make sure nothing is blocking the mist outlet. Make sure the fan vent on the bottom of humidifier is not blocked. Make sure the nebulizer is clean of mineral build ups and debris. Clean if necessary. White dust appears around the humidifier: This is an indication of hard water. The tap water you are using have too many minerals. Switch to filtered or distilled water. If there is a musty odor coming from the humidifier: Clean the water tank with water and vinegar or bleach solution. Rinse with clean water. Repeat if necessary. Leave the water tank uncapped over night in a cool place.
