FR100611-Pilatus Install 20/10/06 15:47 Page 5 Attention Before installing the new tap it is essential that you thoroughly flush through the supply pipes in order to remove any remaining swarf, solder or other impurities. Ensure the tap is in the Off position (Refer to diagram operating sequence). How to care for your kitchen sink mixer. To maintain the appearance of this fitting, ensure it is cleaned only using a clean, soft damp cloth. A solution of warm water and mild liquid detergent may be used where necessary, and then the fitting rinsed thoroughly. Abrasive cleaners or acidic cleansers MUST NOT BE USED under any circumstances. Avoid contact with all solvents. Failure to carry out this simple procedure could cause problems or damage to the workings of the tap. Having first checked all new connections, turn on the mains stop cock, close all taps except the new one and as the system starts to refill check for leaks. Once you have satisfied yourself that there are no leaks, switch on the water heating. Technical data Operating pressure: Min 0.3 Max 6 Bars Recommended operating pressure: 0.5 Bars/5.5 Bars Hot water temperature: Max 70 C Recommended hot water temperature: 65 C Note: If these temperatures or water pressures are exceeded damage to the tap can result. Warning NB. Non return valves are built into both hot and cold flexi tails for security. A pressure reducing valve may be required to be fitted in high water pressure situations. It is also recommended to keep the spout in the opposite direction of the threaded hole for the threaded stud. While screwing the inlet flexi-tails to the body do not hold part (1) of the body in order to avoid unscrewing it. If found to be necessary then hold onto the spout bayonet holder of the mixer.
