1. AIM This report presents the results of the laboratory measurement of airborne sound insulation, according to EN ISO 10140 2, of a glass composition manufactured by HORNOS INDUSTRIALES PUJOL, S.A. 2. PLACE OF TEST SPECIMEN CONSTRUCTION AND TEST EXECUTION The test specimen was mounted in the Laboratory for Quality Control in Buildings of the Basque Country Government located at Aguirrelanda Street, Nº 10, 01013 Vitoria Gasteiz (Alava Spain). The test was performed in the horizontal transmission rooms of the Acoustics Area of the laboratory by personnel of TECNALIA (Construction Area Technological Services Division). The test specimen was selected and delivered by the applicant. The installation and sealing of the specimen in the test opening was made by personnel of TECNALIA, and finished on 25 th October, 2.016. The test sample stayed 24 hours in the same temperature conditions than the test rooms. 3. TEST STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES EN ISO 10140 2:2010: Acoustics Laboratory measurement of sound insulation of building elements Part 2: Measurement of airborne sound insulation. EN ISO 717 1:2013: Acoustics Rating of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements Part 1: Airborne sound insulation. TECNALIA internal procedures. According to ENAC accreditation No 4/LE456 (ENAC: Spanish National Accreditation Body). - PE.CM AA 61 E: Procedure to measure the airborne sound insulation into the horizontal and vertical transmission rooms. - PE.MC AA 06 M: Procedure to manage the test specimens for acoustic tests in laboratory. Standard EN ISO 10140 2:2010, together with the other EN ISO 10140 1:2010, EN ISO 10140 3:2010, EN ISO 10140 4:2010 and EN ISO 10140 5:2010, cancels and replaces standard EN ISO 140 3:1995. The measurement and evaluation process applied to the specimen described in this report is according to the standard in force EN ISO 10140 2:2010, and complies with cancelled standard EN ISO 140 3:1995. 4. TEST ARRANGEMENT 4.1. Test specimen description Reference: 44.2 EVALAM VISUAL. The test specimen consists on 4+4 laminated glass. According to the dates provided by the applicant, the test specimen is composed by: 4mm Float glass +2 Evalam Visual interlayers (0,38mm each one) + 4mm Float glass. The test specimen consists on a glass composition, 1,23m width x 1,48m height. The test specimen was mounted into the test opening of a double disconnected concrete wall, 20cm thick each one, separated by rock wool 50 mm thick, using wooden beads and putty Illbruck OS 201 (see Figure 1). The test opening (1,25 x 1,5m) as well the installation of the test specimen are according to EN ISO 10140 1 (Annex D). Photo 1 Photo 2 Photos 1 2: Test specimen in test rooms 4.2. Laboratory test facilities The sound insulation test was performed in the horizontal transmission rooms, composed of a source and a receiving room. The receiving room is composed of a double concrete box of twenty and ten centimetres of thickness each one, acoustically disconnected. The mobility of the source transmission room allows the construction and mounting of the test specimen outside, as well its subsequent installation between the test rooms. These rooms comply with the requirements of EN ISO 10140 5. Figure 2: Sketch of the horizontal transmission rooms Page 5 of 7 (+1 Annex)

TEST PROCEDURE AND EVALUATION The sound reduction index (R) for the one third octave band 100 Hz to 5 KHz is calculated according to EN ISO 10140 2 standard using: R=L 1 L 2 +10 Log S/A where, L 1 : Average sound pressure level in the source room. L 2 : Average sound pressure level in the receiving room. S: Test specimen area. A: Equivalent sound absorption area in the receiving room. The measurement of the average sound pressure levels L 1 and L 2 is performed emitting an equalized white noise (between 100 Hz and 5 khz) with a moving omnidirectional sound source. The sound field in the source and receiving rooms is sampled using moving microphone with a sweep radius of 1 m and a traverse period of 16 s during 32 s of measure. Background noise is measured in the receiving room in the one third octave band 100 Hz to 5 khz according to the same measurement process of sound field in the receiving room. Page 6 of 7 (+1 Annex)

The equivalent sound absorption area is evaluated from the reverberation time measured in the receiving room, using Sabine s formula: A=0.16 V/T where, A: Equivalent sound absorption area in the receiving room. T: Reverberation time in the receiving room. V: Receiving room volume. Reverberation time in the receiving room is determined using two positions of the sound source and three fixed microphone positions for each source position, at 120º in the microphone path. Measuring chain is verified just before and after the execution of the test. 6. RESULTS In Annex, are featured the following results for the test specimen: Sound reduction index, R, in third octave frequency bands from 100 to 5000 Hz, in table and graph. The Weighted sound reduction index, R w, calculated according to EN ISO 717 1, from the sound reduction index, R. The spectrum adaptation terms between 100 and 3150 Hz, C and C tr, calculated according to EN ISO 717 1, which are the values, expressed in decibels, to be added to the global magnitude value (R w, for example) to consider the characteristics of a particular noise spectrum, such as pink noise (C) and traffic noise (C tr ). Additionally, the following global values, calculated as the Spanish rule Documento Básico DB HR Protección frente al ruido, of Código Técnico de la Edificación (CTE) from the sound reduction index, R. - The A weighted sound reduction index, R A, from 100 to 5000 Hz, expressed to one decimal place. - The A weighted sound reduction index, R A,tr, for exterior traffic noise from 100 to 5000 Hz, expressed to one decimal place.
