HEDSON TECHNOLOGIES AUTOMECHANIKA 2008 The 20th edition of Automechanika ended with some impressive results. 4,680 exhibitors from 80 countries, over 166,000 visitors from a total of 146 nations the fi gures are impressive. The proportion of international visitors rose by 10 % to around 50 %, with particular growth amongst visitors from Eastern Europe and Latin America. When using disposable cups, money and time could be saved if you take advantage of the benefits. With a gun cleaner close to where you spray, cleaning is taken care of quickly and easily, which save a lot of time. With a Drester QuickRinse, you clean the gun s paint channel in less than 10 seconds! Saving several minutes on every single cleaning, means that the pay-back time is a just a couple of months. The importance of cleaning the gun properly is obvious. Simply pouring water/solvent into the gun s paint channel and then spraying out the paint and water usually does not clean the paint channel properly, especially when it comes to water-borne. Since water-borne paint is tougher to remove, and cannot be dissolved with water once it has dried, it is important that you clean the gun with enough flow and pressure to properly flush the gun s paint channel. All Drester s QuickRinse models for water-borne, are equipped with the well-proven diaphragm pump to allow for proper flow and pressure. Since launching the original QuickRinse in 2007, Drester has continued to develop the QuickRinse concept and has added the QR-20, a model for use with solvent and the QR-TT, a combo for both water and solvent. Drester 1050 Drester AquaSolve The new Gun Cleaner for water-borne. Based on the original Drester 1000, it keeps all the benefits but uses only recirculating water through the brush and the rinse gun. Thereby, the machine can do without the selector valve and extensive stainless top of the Drester 1000, reducing the price significantly. If a customer requires clean rinse with tap water or e.g. AquaSolve, the Drester 1050 can be equipped with an optional Flush Gun. The Drester 1050 comes with a dry gun and it can be equipped with door and lid. The AquaSolve is a water-borne solvent intended for gun cleaning, making water-borne cleaning a lot quicker and easier. It can be used with both automatic and manual gun cleaners and it keeps its excellent cleaning power even when used for several weeks. With a proper gun cleaner, the main cleaning is done with recirculating AquaSolve and only a very minor amount of fresh solvent is spent per gun. The AquaSolve can be coagulated and filtered, thereby saving the user from expensive waste collection. HLS 1200 Duo Two Lift systems perfectly combined The workshop lifts for all standards. The lifting of the car could be on wheels or for wheel free work. Uncramped posture and better visibility improve quality thanks to different working heights that can be changed smoothly. New equipment New control card At the exhibition several solutions to improve the through-put of cars in a bodyshop were shown. The new IRT control card gives the operator more possibilities and optimize the curing process even further. IRT-400 XLNC Ultra Speed IRT Ultra speed uses the same RDS curing technique as described earlier for the IRT Arch. Tests at various paint manufacturers are currently being done with astonishing results! - Test result show improved curing times with over 50 % on clear coats - Powerful cassettes with superior heat distribution, and centralized pyrometers, ultra sensors. - Heat capacity up to 160 C / RDS curing temperature 110-120 C IRT Air Booster The IRT Air Booster concept is a re-fit kit for spray booths. It adapts the curing process to primarily fit water born paint systems. This system offers the customer unique advantages: - Increases the through put in a body shop with over 20 % - Decreases flash off time on water base coat with over 30 % - Improve drying times on clear coat in the spray booth with 25 % - Superior airflow around the car, evenly spread all over the surface. - Superior energy efficiency. Future equipment IRT Power Cure Solvent and water borne paint curing The new IRT Power Cure will handle all conventional paint systems. Water and solvent borne paint are all preprogrammed for curing. IRT cures with extreme efficiency and a finished drying result incomparable in the market. The IRT Power Cure will not only save time by curing fast and efficient, it will also save time in after treatment. IRT Power Cure always produces a fully polymerized paint material so polishing can be done directly after cooling the dried object. IRT Power Cure - the curing device for the futur Speed paint systems cured with RDS technique Since the start in the 1960s IRT has built mayor industrial curing solutions, which are made to dry paint with extreme speed. This technology has now been developed for use in normal body shops, the RDS technique. The result is astonishing! Modern racing clears and other fast curing paint materials will dry more than 50 % faster compared to conventional IR techniques. UV paint curing IRT works with world leading experts in UV technologies. The new IRT ARCH, Power Cure, is prepared for UV drying. The IRT UV technique is one of the most advanced in the world. Energy consumption, reflector technology, start up speed, emission power and operational safety are uniquely improved by IRT. IRT Power Cure The perfect curing tool The new IRT Power Cure offers the customer a complete solution with security in work methods and quality control throughout the entire curing process. To ensure a fully operational and outstanding reliability, IRT Power Cure uses direct online service access and video observation. The new IRT Arch Power Cure will considerably improve productivity and improve running costs as energy savings are up to 90 %. New HMI for the IRT Arch The new Arch has a completely new HMI (human man interface). The interface is self-instructive and very easy to understand, with a touch screen and pop up menus. It includes Automatic and Manual mode for all curing applications. IRT UV and IR combined mobile unit The IRT UV / IR mobile have several new and revolutionary features: - Unique safety features.
