-Coupler Controls/Networks 2018.1 1.3 Extend (third-party) lift controls with LIFTnet, a dynamic fire control and a lift attendant. Coupler -Coupler is an industry-oriented Linux module by STRACK specifically for lifts and technical installations and works as a data collector, mini control and gateway. The connection with almost all (foreign) manufacturers of control is through unlimited, TÜV approved intelligent universal voltage in-/outputs. Coupler couples all lift controllers to LIFTnet, complements it (regardless of LIFTnet) with an electronic lift attendant and extends it with a static and dynamic fire alarm control. WLAN 3

-Coupler Controls/Networks 2018.1 1.3 Product description Das -System is a modular system which undertakes many tasks in lifts or other equipment. It can expand existing (third-party) lift control systems with control functions, data collecting, or work as a gateway. The interface in conjunction with LINUX as operating system represent an important innovation for elevator technology. LINUX is successfully in use due to its stability in the industry for a long time and there are many tools that are freely available. Power and consumption The heart beats in the coupler: a powerful ARM processor with extremely low power consumption. Also, there are no heat sink and no power guzzler in the entire module system. LINK bus All modules are connected with each other with the 2-wire bus LINK, so that the signals of the system can be used regardless of the position. The royalty free LINK bus has a high operating safety and unusually good diagnostic ability. For example, if a bus stop, a short circuit or engine defect occurs, the -Coupler logs, where the error has just occurred. Interfaces has Ethernet and USB interfaces, with which connections in networks, bus systems and transmission media, such as e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CAN, LON, LAN and WAN (Internet) are possible. Also the communication via industrial Ethernet protocols, such as Modbus/TCP is provided. To connect to the Internet, various protection mechanisms are included, such as very high certificate-based encryption, firewall, IP check, password protection, and write protected boot areas. VIO virtual in-/outputs with software inspection return control + (NO) - (NC) VIO virtual in-/outputs -Coupler works by default with thousands of so-called virtual in-/outputs (VIO). You can assign a VIO of any terminal of any module. Thus, the function of this VIO number is assigned to the real terminal so that the terminal has then the function return on/off, for example. 1.3 Controls/Networks 2018.1 -Coupler extension modules (selection) IOM-Switch IOM-Switch provides 5 Ethernet interfaces with 10/100 MBit/s. In general, the module works as intelligent unmanaged switch plug and play, however, including automatic control functions like broadcast storming filter and bandwidth, ingress and egress rate control of each port. With additional configuration via the LINK bus, the switch can be changed to a managed switch, e.g. to draft channel up to 16 VLANs (virtual LANs), to set priorities for Ethernet devices, etc. IOM-16 IOM-16 provides 16 not potential-free in-/outputs for 24V DC. Each terminal can be configured as input, output, or both, and is able to switch an inductive load up to 350 ma. Each terminal is protected against overtemperature, overvoltage, reverse voltage and high current, equipped with comprehensive diagnostic functions and qualified to AEC-Q100 (reliability acc. to Automotive Electronics Council). IOM-SHKIN IOM-SHKIN provides 8 inputs for 230V AC. The 2 input groups (6+2 inputs) are to each other potential-separated and may be connected to different circuits, also to the safety circuit. In addition, neighboring input circuits are allowed to have dangerous and non-dangerous voltages. High open-circuit voltages which occur due to parasitic coupling in long open lines (e.g. open safety circuit contacts), do not lead to incorrect results! IOM-UIN IOM-UIN provides 12 universal voltage inputs for 8-250V AC/DC. The 6 input groups (3+3+2+2+1+1 inputs) are to each other potential-separated and may be connected to different circuits, also to the safety circuit. In addition, neighboring input circuits are allowed to have dangerous and nondangerous voltages. High open-circuit voltages which occur due to parasitic coupling in long open lines (e.g. open safety circuit contacts), do not lead to incorrect results because the IOM-UIN always knows what voltage level and type at each input can be expected! 6
-Coupler Controls/Networks 2018.1 1.3 is a module with 6 relays changers with a maximum switching capacity of 250V/6A/AC1 or 192W/250V/5A/DC1. The 5 groups (1+1+1+1+2 outputs) are to each other potential-separated and may be connected to different circuits, also to the safety circuit. In addition, neighboring output circuits are allowed to have dangerous and non-dangerous voltages. IOM-Audio IOM-Audio is a robust MP3 stereo module, which can play high quality language, music and acoustic signals. One or two speaker for mono or stereo can be connected. The integrated digital amplifier has a very high degree of efficiency, requires no cooling and provides 2x30W into 4 Ohm or 2x15W into 8 Ohm speaker. The speaker outputs are short-circuit-proof. The IOM-Audio plays MP3 music files and fades-in voice prompts in 1-4 languages. Volume, pitch, and other parameters are configurable by or LIFTnet. New or modified MP3 files can be uploaded live or modified separately on the 2GB SD card. 7
1.3 Controls/Networks 2018.1 -Coupler -Coupler as fire alarm control -Coupler can extend a lift control with a static and dynamic fire alarm control. Each lift control is extensible, if the required inputs and outputs are accessible. A bus based lift control is expanded in the same way, if the control provides the needed in-/outputs (e.g. with an own bus module). The coupler uses only control signals that all controllers know, e.g. floor information, calls and car priority switch. There will be no interference with the other functions of the lift control. Optionally, a fire alarm announcement can be made after the fire alarm evacuation by the IOM-Audio. Dynamic fire alarm control for a lift control, which works with 24V positive logic, up to about 3 floors E.g. compatible to Böhnke bpxxx, Kollmorgen MPK 50X/100X/200X and STRACK STA90/STA². The terminal assignment can be changed freely. 1.3 Controls/Networks 2018.1 -Coupler -Coupler as electronic lift attendant Benefit The tasks of the human lift attendant be partially replaced by the -Coupler. The required weekly checks of the lift can be omitted. The inspection intervals of the human lift attendant are limited to 4 months or 30,000 travels thus for lifts with power-operated doors and for systems with manually operated doors to 2 months or 15,000 travels and can be done also by the lift mechanic as part of normal maintenance.
