VERTISA Environmental Technologies develops complete sterilization related solutions for hospitals, laboratories, research centres and medical industries in general. We are a full service company providing autoclave, system, waste shredders, steam boilers for technical industries such as infectious medical waste treatment, aerospace composites, glass lamination, rubber vulcanizing, wood treating and many other applications. VERTISA Environmental Technologies is global provider to the hospital sector, offering solutions for all hospital departments, sterilization centres, surgical areas and medical sterilization area. could only be developed by a sterilization expert. In addition, all of out customers can rely on the support of our own technical service, in a modern, operation of the equipments. and our products are produced according to PED (97/23/EEC) ad EN 285 directives. Our brand PROMED and AXL systems are is the most widely used solution for the sterilization and decreasing of volume of waste originating from public health establishments. medical waste disposal and has been designed by Research and Development department engineers using ground breaking new features developed by the well accepted sterilizers experts. Our company developed two different approaches for medical waste sterilizations and divided it into two different product lines:
(Compact) (20 Kg/h) (35 Kg/h) (55 Kg/h) (100 Kg/h) (150 Kg/h) (250 Kg/h) (450 Kg/h) (75 Kg/h) (150 Kg/h) (300 Kg/h) (500 Kg/h) (1000 Kg/h)
complete air tight pressure vessel that does not open until sterilization is achieved. This solution requires minimum intervention by the operator as the complete cycle carried out automatically by the control and supervision of the specially programmed PLC unit. This way steam The Pre-Shredding equipment can be used indoors in hospitals or laboratories as well as complex medical waste treatment facilities. RELIABILITY The equipment may be used safely. Special trained operators are not required and only 8 hours operator training is enough for complete operation.all in all the operation is fully automatic and is equipped with such safety systems, that eliminates all manual operation. Several safety precautions are implemented by the PLC control unit. INTEGRATED SHREDDER The main part of the system is the shredder unit. Our special solution consists of a double shaft mechanism, which has a PLC controlled motion, that changes rotating direction in case the shaft meets a certain amount of resistance.the shredder is designed and manufactured to withstand the high loads while shredding very hard materials like surgical stainless steel instruments and hard ceramics.
PRE-SHREDDING CYCLE STAGES 1 2 3 4 5 1. LOADING: At the beginning of the cycle, once the upper lid opens, the automatic elevator empties the waste in the loading chamber. As the upper closes shredding starts. 2. SHREDDING: The shredder, controlled by PLC, changes rotation direction due to the anti blocking capability that prevents the blades to get jammed. Our special design shredder is capable of grinding very hard material like surgical stainless steel instruments and hard ceramics. The mixing device in the upper chamber will provide the continuous feeding of the shredder. 3. HEATING AND STERILIZATION: Heating is achieved by injecting saturated steam until the homogeneous temperature in the upper and lower chamber reaches 134 C (274 F). Sterilization is reached by maintaining 134 C (274 F) - 138 C (280 F) temperature equivalent pressure for a period of 10 to 15 minutes. These factors provide the possibility to decrease the pathogenic contamination level in the medical waste by 8 Log 10 value. 4. COOLING AND DRAINING OF CONDENSED WATER: Excess steam in the chamber is removed during cooling phase and the temperature of the grinded sterilized waste is lowered to by injecting bold air in the chamber of the autoclave. The condensed water, that sterile and can be safely discharged into sewage system is drained with the help of positive pressure of vacuum (Patent Pending System). 5. UNLOADING: Once the unloading lid opens and a container is placed below the chamber, the waste trap opens to discharge the sterilized material. As the container is pulled away, the lower lid closes and the sterilizer automatically starts the next cycle. OPERATING PRINCIPLES Medical waste collected in buns or plastic bags are in transfered into stainless steel autoclave carts. The carts are pushed into the autoclave where a repeated pre-vacuum and pre-heating process ensures that all air is removed from the waste. The autoclave is heated up with steam to 138 C and 3,8 bar atmospheric pressure. Sterilization is done by keeping the waste for a given time (10-15 mins) under the above conditions. The process is repeated until 8 lof 10 is vacuumed and dried by our uniquely developed air cooling system, then removed from the autoclave. All parameters can be programmed according to customer needs. The system is very easy to operate, can be managed by one operator that passed the 8 hour training programme. PROMED sterilization system are manufactured completely from stainless steel and can withstand up to 10 BAR atmospheric pressure. Estimated life cycle: 10 years if used 24 Hours/Day The control device is a full automatic PLC unit that controls the whole system including the shredder unit and steam boiler unit (Optional) VSB SERIES Steam Boilers are also manufactured by our company.
