MAFH-E Technical Summary
Overview The MAFH-E is a positive pressure system that uses mass transfer to remove water from the operating fluid Ambient air is heated using a proprietary method, which improves the ability of the air to absorb water vapor The heated air is blown up through the reaction chamber, while the operating fluid cascades from the top of the chamber The heated air stream removes free, emulsified, and dissolved water, and some dissolved gasses Two gear pumps run continuously, outputs are balanced (no cycle) The fluid is then pumped from the sump and returned to the system US Patent application is pending for this technology.

MAFH-E Advantages Over Vacuum Dehydrators Mild Vacuum systems are limited by the displacement of the vacuum pump - Slightly higher efficiency compared to positive pressure systems but not as effective High Vacuum systems use a closed cycle to seal operating fluid with high heat and high vacuum to boil off water - Risk of damaging fluid - High energy consumption MAFH-E is not limited by these factors and is more effective at removing water at identical conditions The mild process will not adversely affect fluid properties
MAFH-E Advantages Over Vacuum Dehydrators Vacuum dehydrators all use a vacuum pump Vacuum pumps are expensive and problematic; replacement makes for very expensive maintenance bills The MAFH-E does not use a vacuum pump MAFH-E components are robust and less expensive to maintain

Filter Systems Field Application HYDAC MAFH Dehydration Station with remote contacts sold to large ship manufacturer for incorporation into thrusters for removal of ingression water 2 units sold in 2010 Sold as a customer option Replaced competition due to price and customization
Filter Systems Field Application: HYDAC MAFH Dehydration Station used at major faucet manufacturer to remove water from 350gallon reservoir. Reservoir contained a PAO fluid used as lube for parts in a machining operation. The parts are water washed and the diluent collected in a storage tote. The HYDAC MAFH was used to reclaim the PAO fluid. The starting % water saturation was 77% and was down to 30% after cycling for 72 hours. The PAO fluid was then reintroduced to the lube system.
Staged Housing Design Accepts Particulate or Water Removable Element Easy to Change Elements Filter Bypass Improved Wand Wipes HYDAC Filtration Station OFS Series Each housing has individual dirt indicator True Staged Filtration: two filters after the pump High Dirt Holding Capacity
Filter Systems Field Application One: OFS Filtration Station is being used to clean the hydraulic oil used in the booms on utility trucks and the moving parts of construction vehicles. A combination of water and dirt removal elements ensures clean, dry fluids. The customer no longer needs to worry about equipment breakdowns caused by water in the oil freezing during the cold weather or dirt contamination affecting the hydraulic movements.
Filter Systems Field Application Two: Problem: Rail yards needed a way to clean-up and condition the hydraulic oil in the rail yard equipment as the equipment was often in remote locations. Solution: OFS Filtration Station is being used in the service of the rail maintenance equipment. The semi-pneumatic tires on the unit along with the rugged frame design allow for the unit to be easily transported over the rails and through the dirt and stones of rail yard.
