General architectural description: This wood frame residence is composed of a 1½-story gabled front section (to the south), and a large, taller, 1½story gabled rear section (to the north). It is supported by a low poured concrete foundation, while the exterior walls are clad with beige color horizontal wood siding with 1 by 4 corner boards. A brick fireplace chimney is located on the west elevation. The gable roofs are steeply-pitched, with lower intersecting gables, and they are covered with metal roofing material. A set of wooden stairs on the west elevation lead to a painted beige glass-inwood-frame door which is the primary entry. Fixed-pane pentagon-shaped windows, typically set over casement type windows, appear in the upper gable ends, First story windows are also predominantly casements. A former greenhouse addition on the south elevation has been fully enclosed and faced with brick. 22. Architectural style: Modern Movements Building type: 23. Assessment of historic physical integrity related to significance: This well-maintained residence displays a below average standard of physical integrity, relative to the seven aspects of integrity as defined by the National Park Service and the Colorado Historical Society, Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation - setting, location, design, materials, workmanship, feeling and association. The original dwelling lost its integrity of setting and location when it was moved to this location in the 1970s. At this site, the dwelling s integrity was further compromised by new additions and alterations.
