A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN Welcome, Horticultural Society* has the very proud distinction of having been in existence for 95 years, quite an achievement I think you will agree. In 1919 the Vicar invited Cottagers from Hook and to come together and participate in a Village Show. Apart from a few short breaks the Flower Show continues to this very day. It s an event that we feel and hope brings together young and old from the community. So, whether you have a window box or an allotment, whether you garden in a modern way or prefer the more traditional approach, I look forward to seeing all your wonderful exhibits and please don t be shy, come and join us. The Horticultural Society meets on the last Wednesday of each month at the Victory Hall. If you would like more information about our speakers, outings and social events, any of the committee would be more than willing to give you any information you require. Jill Milton Chairman Horticultural Society * The Society is affiliated to the RHS and belongs to the Hampshire Federation of Horticultural Societies.
