Professional thermostating for pilot plant and mini-plant purposes Split-second temperature changes for dynamic applications The Integral XT process thermostats are characterised by extremely-fast temperature changes which are founded in the low, internally thermostated heat-transfer volumes. The efficient devices work according to a completely new technological principle, and increase the upper and lower limits of the working temperature range. Fields of application: thermostating of stirrer tanks, glass or stainless-steel reactors in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Reliable thermostating of stirrer tanks in the chemical industry Comfortable working in a closed circuit The bath liquid circulates in the entire system, and does not come into direct contact with the ambient air. A non-thermostated expansion vessel is used for the volume compensation in case of temperature changes. This operating principle offers numerous advantages to users. At low temperatures the condensation of air humidity is reduced as well as odour nuisance at high temperatures. Low evaporation or oxidation allows a long service life of the bath liquid. Without the need to change media operation throughout the entire temperature range from -50 up to 200 C is feasible. It is possible to work above the fire point of the bath liquid if it is sufficiently higher than the temperature in the expansion vessel (according to DIN EN 61010-1 standard, minimum 25 K). All this simplifies the thermostating process, and leads into in significantly lower operating costs. Space-saving connection of the external consumer to the Integral XT 2

With their high heating, cooling and pump capacities, LAUDA Integral XT process thermostats create a new thermostating dimension in process engineering. The basic principle comprises a circulation thermostat with a very small internal volume and non-perfused expansion vessel. The powerful variopump always the right choice The variopump has 8 different levels which can be set on the display of the Command console in order to guarantee optimum performance for all connected external systems. Alternatively, for pressure-sensitive systems such as glass apparatus, the variopump can be set to a defined flow pressure which must not be exceeded. Easily accessible pump connections simplify the fast connection of external systems. The large connection diameters minimise the internal pressure losses and ensure large flow rates for good heat transfer. Ideal for glass apparatus Easy handling The process thermostats are filled via a recessed filler nozzle on the top of the devices. The small XT devices have handles on the sides and the front, and castors at the bottom of the rear side for easier lifting and moving. A central draining tap on the front side ensures the easy exchange of the bath liquid at any time. The floor-mounted Integral XT devices in the medium and larger sizes have four castors for simple positioning near to the external system. Several draining valves on the side ensure fast and complete draining of the thermostating liquid from the entire system. Easy filling from the top Safety as the utmost priority Numerous additional functions ensure a safe thermostating process. The SelfCheck assistant automatically detects errors, and shows them on the display. In addition to important basic functions such as overtemperature, pump overload, low level and excess level protection, the process thermostats have a flow control instrument. Professional thermostating for pilot plant and mini-plant Easy operation via the Command console The process thermostats are operated via the Command console which is also used in the LAUDA Proline range. The console is easily removable and can be used as a remote control. The easy menu-driven operation makes operation intuitive and simplifies fast changes of the settings. An additional extension cable on the Command console enables operation of the device and process surveillance from a distance of up to 50 metres. An opto-decoupled RS 232/485 interface is integrated in the Command console as standard for connection to a PC. The process thermostats are equipped with the Command console as standard. Thanks to the intuitive menu-driven operation, the device settings are particularly easy to use. Due to the large graphics, all the information essential to the thermostating process is available to the user at a glance. The entire process at a glance The clear process diagram on the high-resolution graphic display of the Command console displays all the device parameters necessary for the thermostating process at a glance. Alternatively, the user can define other views and, hence, can always see the information which is important for him. Liquid change-over made easy Putting the Integral XT into operation goes very fast and safe via an intelligent user guide. The automatic filling program simplifies the complete filling of the system with thermostating liquid. During operation the automatic de-gassing program ensures the controlled removal of highly-volatile compounds or residual air from the thermostating system. While changing the consumer or the thermostating liquid the menu-driven emptying program helps the user to completely drain the bath liquid. The most important parameters are visualised in various forms. Flexible interface concept A multitude of individual options is available for connecting peripheral devices. The units are equipped with a Pt 100 temperature probe connection and two sockets for components with the LAUDA internal LiBus such as the Command control unit, as standard. Similar to Proline, optional modules for fitting up to two plug-in modules are available. Operation at temperatures from -50 up to 200 C is possible without the need for changing the bath liquid. The special high-temperature version enables process temperatures up to 300 C. This makes it ideal for reactor thermostating in the chemical or pharmaceutical process. The large expansion vessel inside the Integral XT ensures that operation also runs smoothly in large, connected external systems. The process thermostats are ideal for the requirements of the fast, precise thermostating of external systems in testing or pilot plants. Dynamic processes or other difficult thermostating tasks are safely mastered thanks to the use of high-performance technology. Water-cooled Integral XT for maximum performance Independent of the ambient temperature, the water-cooled process thermostats achieve extremely high cooling capacities up to 18 kw. Large connection dimensions for the water cooling (3/4 / 1 for the XT 1850 W) guarantee reliable heat removal from the Integral XT, and ensure the performance of the device even at high loads. This is advantageous for use close to the site of production and in the testing or pilot plant, where numerous devices and machines operate at the same time and the heat emission is high.
