1. Product description Technical data The presence detector is suitable for detecting the movement of humans and animals through their radiant heat. The sensitive 4-element-PIR sensor technology for presence detection guarantees reliable detection of occupants even when they are seated. Therefore is ideally suited for occupancy related control functions within LON networks. The presence detector can be connected to a digital input module like lumina T6, lumina B8 or lumina BE8 to make the presence signal available in a LON network. Furthermore the presence detection range (for instance in corridors and stairways) can be extended by connecting them directly to multi sensors of type lumina MS4 and MS4/RC. The presence detector is available in two versions. The EB version is suitable for installation in suspended ceilings, ceiling sails or recessed junction boxes. The AP version allows surface mounting. Version 1.00 Page 1 of 6 Mar 25, 2014

2.4. Connection example The following scheme shows an installation of a multi sensor and several presence detectors. Please note that only one presence detector may be connected directly to the multi sensor. Instead of the multi sensor a digital input module for floating contacts can be used. Here several detectors can connected in parallel to an input. Alternatively, the digital input of the can be used to connect additional presence detectors. The contact (output) of the is closed, if presence has been detected or the digital input is closed.
