Rust, corrosion and leakages threaten even the best distribution network Only Quality Air Solutions keep your air distribution in optimal shape

Improve your business productivity, Why? Customer benefits quality and efficiency 2 Quality air solutions will help you prevent corrosion, leakage, pollution and rust. What & How? A compressor takes humidity and contamination n from the intake air, during the compression process these particles combine with the oil used in the compressor. All these impurities can cause wear and corrosion to the downstream equipment, with potential costly interruption to production, and reduction in the efficiency and service life of the equipment used. To reduce this negative impact, a whole range of Quality Air Solution products has been developed to ensure air quality, increase efficiency and productivity and lengthen the life span of your equipment and tools. In sum, with a range from dryers to filters, you can tackle several quality air problems at once, making them highly recommended components for every successful business. WITH AIR TREATMENT IMMEDIATELY ENSURE SECURED PROLONG PROTECT LOW IMPROVE Eliminate the water / dust produced during compressing process Your air network is clean and protected against rust A clean air network reduces leakage The life span of your operation process (machine / equipment..) Safe use of pneumatic tool, with extended life time Cost of Maintenance of your air network (corrosion), operation process and potential downtime Quality of the final product, and potential risk of product recalls WITHOUT AIR TREATMENT GOES TO THE NET HIGH RISK HIGH RISK SHORTEN HARM HIGH DECREASE STABLE Operating cost Control VARIABLE What Quality air solution products do you need? Air receiver: Filter: Dryer: Condensate drain: Storage of compressed air Filter and separate dirty parts present in the compressed air process Remove presence of water in the process Discharge the condensate from the compressed air network 3 BOOST Your productivity REDUCE

Multiple air treatment solutions Here below you see a typical installation of a compressor room, where the selection of different quality air equipment (filtration grades, refrigeration dryers, and adsorption dryers) will lead to a different degree of air quality. AHF ACF AHF 4 Oil and dust filtration Network filters: treatment of residual oil and dust particles. Depending on the filtration level, our range of filters block and remove: Particles down to 0.01 micron (smoke, dust, etc.). Oil concentration down to 0.05 ppm Air storage The vertical air receiver will already separate and remove condensate and it will stabilize pressure peaks and cause a stable air flow which is beneficial for the final tools. Besides these advantages, it also fulfills a storage function in order to handle high air consumption. APF 5 AEF/APF AEF & AHF Water separation Air drying: elimination of water vapour that can potentially condensate in your compressed air system. The drying solution that suits your needs best: The refrigeration dryer eliminates water down to a pressure dew point of 3 C. The adsorption dryer eliminates any risk linked to moisture due to a dew point that can reach 70 C. Condensate removal The condensate drains allow easy discharge of the condensate throughout the complete compressed air chain. Condensate treatment The oil-water separator will clean the removed condensate in order to be in-line with local environmental legislations. Separating both substances (water & oil) results in rinsed water which can be discarded easily. The limited amount of oil has to be discharged in a specialized disposal center.

Refrigerant dryer The refrigerant dryers use a refrigerant gas in order to cool the compressed air. As a result the water from the air condenses and can be removed. With this technique we can reach max. 3 C. PDP. Refrigerant dryers are commonly used with pneumatic applications and in the general industry (e.g. engineering, steel, paper, tannery, garage). Adsorption dryer An adsorption dryer uses an adsorption material called desiccant in order to absorb and remove (by regeneration phase) the humidity from the compressed air. With this method we can reach a PDP < 3 C. ( -40 C. or -70 C.). An adsorption dryer should also be used when the ambient temperature goes below freezing point, to avoid ice building in pipes and applications. Adsorption dryers are typically used in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry and whenever a PDP <3 C is requested. 6 Remove the water pollution from your network Refrigeration dryer is a simple, low maintenance technology Extremely easy to install Very compact equipment fits in a minimum space No/low maintenance requirement (domestic refrigerant dryer) Compatible with any compressor technology Very low energy consumption Check your air quality with the dew point indicator Higher final product quality Increase your overall productivity Humid, unclean compressed air can cause: Corrosion, pollution, leakage and rust of the air net (pipes) and the downstream equipment/tools Costly interruptions of the production A decreased efficiency of the equipment/tools used Reduction of the life span of all equipment involved Risk of water contamination in the air network, with potential freezing in winter time Increased maintenance costs Lower quality of the final product and potential risk of product recalls Eliminate any water residual from the net for guaranteed clean compressed air Ready to install, with often integrated filtration solutions Compact equipment fits in a minimum space Long maintenance interval every 5 years Compatible with any compressor technology Energy management solution available to minimise energy consumption User-friendly communication display providing air quality indication and maintenance requirements Higher final product quality Increase your overall productivity Humid, unclean compressed air can cause: A dirty air network increases leakage risk High maintenance cost of your air network (corrosion), operation process and potential downtime Shorten the life span of your operation process (machine/equipment) Risk of water contamination in the air network, with potential freezing in winter time Lower quality of the final product causing potential risk of product recalls Reduced productivity 7 Can water appear once treated with a refrigeration dryer? Depending on the operating conditions and process standards, a different drying technology might be used. However, refrigeration technology is by far the most used dryer technology, complying for more than 95% of industrial applications. However, for applications used under freezing point, and when compressed air is being expanded to atmospheric pressure, or any other demanding industrial processes, adsorption dryers should be considered. Pneumatic tools and equipment Pneumatic control systems Painting application Packaging Injection molding Car shop Tire inflation What is the difference between refrigerant and adsorption dryers? Adsorption removes the remaining g/m³ air water content that might condensate even downstream a refrigerant dryer. Its technology consists in simulating a temperature reduction down to -40 to -70 C (iso +3 C) to condensate the very last volume of water content in the air. This residual is removed and eliminated definitively. Adsorption dryers are recommended for the most demanding applications, where no pollution risk can be taken. Pneumatic control systems Painting systems Packaging Injection molding Food industry Chemical industry Automotive industry Pharmaceutical process

Filters In any air net distribution it is a must to install one or more filters for an improved quality of your compressed air but also to protect your air dryer equipment. Oil-water separator Once the condensate has been removed from the compressed air, it still needs to be cleaned in order to be in-line with local environmental legislations. For this process, oil-water separators are used. Separating both substances (water & oil) results in rinsed water which can be discarded easily. The limited amount of oil has to be discharged in a specialized disposal center. 8 Purify the air from its oil / dust contaminants Filter body is the same for different filtration grade to reach different air quality Extremely easy to install, in a minimum, and can be inserted in an existing network Annual service intervals Pressure drop indicator to advise on the cartridge replacement Cartridge replacement done in no time Compatible with any compressor technology No electrical supply needed Higher final product quality Increase your overall productivity Atmospheric air contains in its origin impurities like dust, various forms of hydrocarbons and water in form of humidity, which once sucked by the compressor is compressed and delivered to the line together with eventual oily particles. These polluting agents, interacting among each other, may generate abrasive and corrosive emulsions which can: damage the distribution lines increasing the leakage risk reduce the efficiency and life span of the pneumatic devices deteriorate the final product quality limits the reliability of the production process and all its components Rinsed water which can be discarded easily and safely Easy operation Requires minimal installation and maintenance Meet environmental regulations and improve company image Excellent performance due to oleophilic and carbon filters Avoid high treatment costs User friendly (e.g. maintenance indicator) No electricity required Discarding polluted water which: harms the environment breaks ecological legislations impairs the company s image 9 What advantages follow from installing one or more filters? Filtration grade can vary from 3 µm to 0,01 µm, it means that by using different filter media, filtration performance can increase 300 times! In applications where you need to reach very high air quality, eg 0,01 µm, it is recommended to filter your air in different stages by using two or three filters. Otherwise using a single filter will result in a quick and premature replacement, with variable life time, making your service operation more complex. Instrument systems Pharmaceutical industry Food industry Chemical & packaging industry Pneumatic transports Industrial painting Control systems Generic tools Do I really need an oil-water separator? An average compressor installation would produce about 20 liter a day of condensate, resulting in a large storage capacity requirement when you want to outsource the service. Our oil-water separators remove 99,9% of the water content, which can be discharged without treatment (conform with your legislation), means only 0,1% of your condensate residual needs to be treated externally. This results in significant cost benefits.

Condensate drains Cyclonic separators Compressed air receiver 10 Easy discharge of condensate throughout the complete compressed air chain Less wear of distribution network and equipment Less stop in production Little maintenance needed Efficient removal of water and big particles due to centrifugal force Costeffective No maintenance required Low pressure drop Reliable operation Eliminate freezing Pressure stabilization Pulsation reduction Velocity reduction Temperature reduction Storage for handling high air consumption Improvement of the life, reliability and functionality of your compressor Condensate separation Unstable pressure peaks Multiple start/stop of the compressor More condensate risk 11 Wear and corrosion of your entire compressed air system Corrosion, pollution, leakage and rust of the air net (pipes) and the downstream equipment/tools How to select the size of my receiver? First, there is not one rule that fits all. Some applications require larger air tanks because of the process. However, we can tell that for rotary screw compressors, the receiver capacity is related to the HP (main motor) installed. In the compressed air industry, the following calculation is recommended: about 10HP x 30 times. Means if you install a 10HP screw compressor, your receiver capacity should be 300 L minimum.
