Model: A131HDCHK-SC-B-40 Page 2 PRODUCT FEATURES Congratulations! You have chosen an Advanced Technology State of the Art Water Cooler and Wine Cellar Multi-purpose Refrigerator unit, with Self Cleaning capability. This unit maintains a constant temperature in the refrigerated compartment. It can be set to maintain a consistent temperature by selecting a type of beverage. Because the temperature is constant, there is minimal condensation being created. The refrigeration system on this cooler has one compressor and Y-type solenoid valve. It cools the cold water and refrigerated compartment separately. The cold tank uses an internal evaporator of commercial design and forms the ice around it. This feature is called an "Ice Bank". It allows for ice cold water and keeps the water temperature consistently cold, however a Longer time in forming the Ice Bank is required. Since ice is an insulator, the more ice is built up, the slower next layer is made. The cooler control system is set with Refrigerated Compartment Priority, meaning the refrigerated Compartment gets cooled first and the water afterwards. WHEN UNIT IS PLUGGED IN FOR THE FIRST TIME WAIT FOR 4 HOURS FOR COMPART- MENT AND COLD WATER TEMPERATURES TO REACH THE COLDEST SETTINGS. Unit is also equipped with Self Cleaning System to maintain quality of the bottled water and eliminate or reduce slime and bacteria count in your water cooler reservoir. Ozone is injected into cold water tank to prevent bacteria build up. The ozone emissions into ambient air are controlled to below 50ppb limit set by OSHA. This Self Cleaning process is entirely automatic, does not require any other additives and is completely harmless. The Self Cleaning process is done every 4 hours and slight humming sound of motor can be heard. In high humidity settings condensation may form on the glass door when the refrigerated compartment temperature is set to 4 O C/39 O F or lower, and humidity level is high. You may wish to set the compartment to a higher temperature to prevent this condensation dripping from the glass. Generally, a setting of 6 O C/42 O F or warmer is sufficient to stop the condensation in humid conditions. Enjoy your Water Cooler and Beverage Center Multipurpose Refrigerator combination unit. Please call the toll free number if any assistance is required. Glacial Team

Your premium hot-water tank has an external heater and is the best for use with mineral water, as it will not burst open like an internal heater. Internal heaters are very harsh on mineral water and tend to be covered in hard crust that acts as an insulator. Heating element overheat and burst eventually. (This issue is well demonstrated by electrical home water heaters, which have provisions to replace burned out heater elements.) External heaters have a lesser effect on mineral water, but still will alter mineral water by causing minerals to fall out. Eventually they will plug up your waterways, causing gradual slowdown of the flow rate, leaking faucets, and other problems. Descaling Solutions There are 2 substances proven to remove calcium deposits efficiently. They are: 1. White vinegar used for cooking. 2. Lemon acid in powdered form, used by beverage makers and bakeries. Depending on the frequency of decalcification treatments, please use the following proportions of substances. 1. White Vinegar: - For descaling once every 3 months, use 2 cups (500 ml) of white vinegar with 2.5 liters of hot water.

Model: A131HDCHK-SC-B-40 Page 11 - For descaling once every 6 months, use a mixture of 6 cups of white vinegar with 2 liters of hot water. - For descaling once every year, use 12 cups of white vinegar and 1 liter of hot water. - For descaling less frequently than once a year, use undiluted white vinegar. 2. Lemon Acid: - For descaling once every 3 months, use a mixture of 1 oz. of powdered lemon acid and 3.5 liters of hot water. - For descaling once every 6 months, use a mixture of 2 oz. of powdered lemon acid and 3.5 liters of hot water. - For descaling once every year, use a mixture of 4 oz. of powdered lemon acid and 3.5 liters hot water. - For descaling less frequently than once a year, use a mixture of 5 oz. of powdered lemon acid and 3.5 liters hot water.
