Transporta on Resource Guide

Need A Ride? there are a wide variety of transporta on op ons available in Eau Claire County. Ride the bus! The City of Eau Claire operates a fixed route bus system, u lizing a fleet of 22 low floored, ramp equipped buses. The majority of the neighborhood routes operate on an hourly frequency with the more heavily traveled routes providing 30 minute service. City of Eau Claire Transit offers reduced fare bus passes for people age 65 and older and people with disabili es. Seniors (65 or older) must show proof of age or a Medicare Card to receive half fare. Disabled passengers must show driver their Medicare Card or Reduced Fare Card to receive half fare. Cash Tokens/Tickets Regular Fare $1.50 8/$10 Elderly/Disabled reduced fare $0.75 15/$10 Monthly Pass unlimited rides $45 Elderly/Disabled reduced pass $23 All fares are non refundable. Exact fare required, drivers do not carry change. The City of Eau Claire, in partnership with Eau Claire County, provides specialized transporta on services through a contract with Abby Vans, Inc. In addi on, the Center for Independent Living for Western Wisconsin, Inc. (CILWW) and Triniteam Caregivers offer volunteer driver transporta on programs in Eau Claire County. Paratransit Transporta on Program The City of Eau Claire and Eau Claire County contract with Abby Vans, Inc., to provide this program. The program is for people whose disabili es prevent them from using the city bus system and for adults with disabili es and people age 60+ who live in the rural areas of the county and do not have access to any transporta on service. Rides can be provided for medical, employment, shopping, social and personal business purposes. Interested individuals must complete an applica on for Paratransit Cer fica on, applica on available at: Eau Claire Transit www.ecbus.org, or 715 839 5111, y: use Relay (711). Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire Countyadrc@co.eau claire.wi.us or 715 839 4735, 1 888 338 4636, y: use Relay (711) Center for Independent Living of Western Wisconsin, Inc., 715 514 4200. Abby Vans, Inc. provides paratransit transporta on service in Eau Claire County. Paratransit service hours: 6:00 am 10:00 pm, Monday through Saturday Once you have completed and returned the applica on to Eau Claire Transit, it takes 21 days for the applica on to be reviewed and either approved or denied. If your applica on is denied, you will be provided with an appeals process. If your applica on is approved, you will be no fied and you can start contac ng Abby Vans, Inc., directly to request services. You need to call Abby Vans, Inc., 1 800 236 8438 at least 24 hours in advance to schedule rides. Rider co payment is $3.00 per one way trip. Federal, state and local funding pay part of this cost for you. Full cost is actually $17.90 to $20.90 per one way trip. Specialized Transporta on Program The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eau Claire County contracts with Abby Vans, Inc., to provide the Specialized Transporta on program for adults with disabili es and people age 60+ who do no have access to any transporta on service on Sunday and for trips to loca ons outside of Eau Claire County. Rides can be provided for medical, employment, shopping, social, and personal business purposes. Interested individuals must complete an Applica on for Specialized Transporta on. Trips to loca ons outside of Eau Claire County Trips Monday through Sunday may be requested, but may be limited due to program funding. You must contact Abby Vans, Inc., 1 800 236 8438, at least 48 hours in advance to schedule rides. Rider co payment is $3.00 per one way trip for rides on Sundays. Rider co payment is $3.00 per one way trip plus 55 per mile for trips to loca ons outside of Eau Claire County. The mileage for 55 per mile for out of county begins at Eau Claire County line and ends at the out of county des na on. Federal, state and local funding pay part of this cost for you. Full cost is actually $17.90 to $20.90 per one way trip and $1.45 per mile for trips outside of Eau Claire County.
