The product will be listed as NEW on-line on the web-site: www.eurovent-certification.com GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS PYXIS CLA:Packaged air cooled liquid chillers for chilled water production equipped with scroll compressor and microchannel condensing coils. The machines are made with weather resistant materials and suitable for outdoor installation. Framework with sections of thick steel for high resistance to the greatest stress during handling and transport. Machines supply fully assembled with refrigerant charge and control systems. The installation requires electrical and hydraulic connections only allowing high costs and time reduction. Final assembly on all machines before shipment including running test, reading and monitoring of operating parameters, alarms simulation and visual check. Design, assembly and test as per the Company Quality Assurance program in full compliance with ISO 9001. RC Group has been the first Italian company in its segment to get the ISO 9001 in October 13 th, 1991 with certificate ICIM 0018. CONDENSING COIL Microchannel condensing coil in aluminium and they are perfectly suitable for the civil and industrial applications cooling, while the protection function of the oxide layer allows an optimum resistance to corrosion also in case of aggressive ambient conditions. Extremely light construction. The coil weight is only 50% compared to traditional copper pipes and aluminium fins of the same capacity. Low air side pressure drop and consequentially drastic reduction of the fans motors electric energy consumption. High heat exchange efficiency. Reduced internal volume capable of reducing the total refrigerant charge. FANS SECTION Axial fans with sickle-shaped blades, fan guard and optimized for low noise levels. External rotor AC type electric motor with stepless variable speed for condensing pressure control. IP54 enclosure class. REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT Components for each refrigerant circuit: Electronic expansion valve. The valve allows high performance and system efficiency thanks to a timely and accurate response to changes in temperature and pressure. Sight glass. Filter dryer on liquid line. Service valves on liquid line and gas discharge. Safety valve on high and low pressure side. Pressure transducers with indication, control and protection functions, on low and high refrigerant pressure. High pressure safety switch with manual reset. Refrigerant circuit with copper tubing with anticondensate insulation of the suction line. Plastic capillary hoses for pressure sensors connection. R410A refrigerant charge ELECTRICAL PANEL In accordance with EN60204-1 norms, suitable for outdoor installation, complete with: Main switch with door lock safety. Fuses for compressors. Magnetothermic switch for each fan and water pump (if scheduled). Contactors for each load. Transformer for auxiliary circuit and microprocessor supply. Panel with machine controls. Power supply: - 400/3/50+N for machine size WL e WH ; - 400/3/50 for machine size VT. CONTROL SYSTEM MP.COM microprocessor system with graphic symbol for control and monitor of operating and alarms status. The system includes: - Voltage free contact for remote general alarm. - Main components hour-meter. - Integrated clock card for alarms date and time displaying and storing. - USB connection for a data-logger function pen drive. - Non-volatile Flash memory for data storage. - Menu with protection password. - LAN connection. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS OF HEAT EXCHANGERS The heat exchangers threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 3 " included, and correspond to ISO 228/1 G M. The pipes threaded hydraulic connections are available up to a diameter of 3 " included, and correspond to ISO 7/1 R. The hydraulic connections with flange (FL) are not supplied with counter flange. The accessories involve the installation of the microprocessor expansion module and its driver. It s possible to install only one of the following pumping group: - Pumping group with low discharge head single in-line pump. - Pumping group with medium discharge head single in-line pump. - Pumping group with low discharge head twin-type in-line pump. - Pumping group with medium discharge head twin-type in-line pump. Water tank in combination with a pumping group. The accessories involve the installation of the microprocessor expansion module and its driver. The optional accessories is not available for machines equipped with shell and tube evaporator. It s possible to install only one of the following pumping group: - Water tank and pumping group with low discharge head single in-line pump. - Water tank and pumping group with medium discharge head single in-line pump. - Water tank and pumping group with low discharge head twin-type in-line pump. - Water tank and pumping group with medium discharge head twin-type in-line pump. LNO Kit for a reduction of the machine noise emission. ELN Kit for an extreme reduction of the machine noise emission. BRINE A kit for chilled water production up to 6 C, BRINE B kit for chilled water production lower than 6 C. WARNING With BRINE Kit it is mandatory to use antifreeze mixture. Refer to the paragraph ANTIFREEZE SOLUTION. The use of antifreeze mixtures causes a reduction of the machine performance, High pressure axial fans equipped with EC electric motor. Partial heat recovery system Voltage free contact for partial heat recovery water pump activation. Total heat recovery system. Voltage free contact for total heat recovery water pump activation. Selector switch for operation mode enabling : ON, OFF, REMOTE for total heat recovery system. OTHER OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES Shell and tube evaporator optimized for R410A refrigerant (for units machine size VT with double refrigerant circuit only, from model 190 P4 D VT2 to model 430 P4 D VT4 both included). Analog flowmeter (0 1V / 4-20mA) for evaporator s water flow measurement and display. The optional accessory stop the machine in case of water flow anomalies. The installation of the flowmeter exclude the installation of the water flow switch or of the differential water pressure switch. The optional accessory involve the installation of the microprocessor expansion module and its driver. Hydraulic connections of the heat exchangers: - Flexible joint with adapter for flange connection (FL). The counter-flange is not supplied. Anti-freeze kit for hydraulic pipes of the pumping group. Power factor capacitor for motor compressor - cos 0,9. Compressor softstarter system. Supply network control relay. Measurement and control of the minimum line voltage, over line voltage, phase loss, phase unbalance and phases sequence of the unit. The system stop the machine in case of operative system malfunction. Compressor operating signalling through additional voltage free contact. Demand limit. The optional accessory limit the electrical absorption of the unit according to a set point value with a reduction of the machine engaged load. The optional accessory involve the installation of the microprocessor expansion module and its driver. Analog set point compensation (0 1V). For the machines with single refrigerant circuit only, the optional accessory involve the installation of the microprocessor expansion module and its driver. Available compensation systems: - Compensation according to ambient temperature ( the system foresee the installation of the ambient temperature sensor) - Compensation according to an external analog signal. Electrical network analyzer: measurement and display of the machine electrical engaged power (kw). Service valve on compressor group suction. Service valve on compressor group discharge. The versions equipped with LNO KIT having the following characteristics: Set of the working parameters. Machine size W : - Cap with sound-absorbing material on each compressor Machine size VT : - Compressors box insulated with sound-absorbing material. - Cap with sound-absorbing material on each compressor. The LNO KIT allow 3 different type of set: LNO KIT 100% No air flow reduction. Noise reduction is obtained through a different working set of the microprocessor control and an acoustic insulation of the noise source. LNO KIT 85% Noise reduction is obtained through a different working set of the microprocessor control, an acoustic insulation of the noise source and a reduction of the condenser coil air flow at 85% of the nominal value. The system is not regulated and the control is ON-OFF type. The heat recovery system s operation is subject to the supply demand of cooling capacity. The system includes: Copper brazed plate type heat exchanger with cover plates, plates and connections in AISI 316 stainless steel. Anticondensate insulation made of polyurethane. Antifreeze heater (only machine size VT ). Hydraulic piping. In the machines size VT, with two refrigerant circuits, the parallel connection of the hydraulic circuit is at Customer care.
