Important features of your summary Each transaction includes a line to help you indicate tax-deductible purchases. If a merchant is owned by another company, a charge may appear in a category you don t expect. For instance, charges made at a hotel restaurant may appear under the Lodging category. If you changed from one type of card to another, or your card was lost or stolen, charges from related accounts are summarized here.
