-Plumbing replacement job began this week by Nelson Mechanical, which includes: replacing piping that has been subjected to extremely corrosive environments, bringing current eyewash/emergency shower station up to code with tempered water and the addition of a station in the chemical storage room. The chemical storage room is subject to outside temperatures so it will be frost protected with all plumbing within the building and only the pull handles on the inside of the chemical storage room. The job also includes replacing the hot water heater and installing a circulation pump to the eyewash station, the outdoor spigots, and water meter. We were able to re-use the old ARFF building backflow prevention devices and our existing booster pump to cut costs. Hangers will be outfitted in stainless to prevent corrosion -Business Park Pump Station Generator had a large annual maintenance and load test completed by South Shore Generator -Received quote back from Saybrooke Environmental for disposal of small quantities of used reagent hazardous waste, in process of streamlining Hazardous Waste Removal Facilities Accomplishments -Replaced all Terminal Entrance Mats with Aramco Aluminum Roll Up style which will allow for easier cleaning, longer life and replaceable rug inserts Before During After -Caterpillar will be coming out in the next few weeks for a service call to replace the jacket water heater on the vault generator and attend to other maintenance items -Cleaned ice machine in the General Aviation kitchen and ordered parts to replace drain 3
-Merriman Chimney Services cleaned the boiler exhaust piping in preparation of the winter season, soliciting quotes from multiple vendors saved the airport over $3,500 Boiler Exhaust Ductwork was chimney swept and is ready for winter, as is the exhaust drain -Boiler Exhaust Drain line was re-plumbed to include a trap, bypass and the acid neutralizer was changed. The exhaust drain connection piping was fixed to be snug - Wilkinson Boiler Inc. will be out to do a cleaning and burner change out on 10/18 the current burner model is unable to get proprietary replacement parts Inside of the Oil fired Burner to be cleaned, Telephone Vault that was pumped for Brad -Pumped water from telephone vault for Brad so that he could pull communication wires -Terminal As-built Drawings were sent to McFarland Johnson for scanning and copying -Quarterly Ice Machine Maintenance completed in the General Aviation kitchen unit -Air Handler #6 Condensate Drain clogged causing an overflow and damage to ceiling panels and electrical equipment, cleaned drain and repaired damaged ceiling tiles -Ordered replacement pilot lounge door through USA Fire Door: Eight Pane, double doors Air Handler #6 Leak, Damage and Repaired 4
-Rebuilt #1 Roots Air Blower with rebuild kit, replaced bearings, seals and nuts. Painted housing and tested satisfactory. Rebuilt #1 Roots Air Blower instead of replacing and saved the Airport $1100 - F350 brakes were repaired due to failure of break line - The condenser fan motor for the Planeview A/C failed, new motor came in and was back online in three days Plainview s Air Conditioning Condenser Unit, Indicator Post for Fire Sprinkler with Potter Switch, Hose Section on Street Sweeper to be replaced -Ordered a replacement hose, extension nozzle and gutter broom replacement for Street Sweeper, extension will allow for more reach during catch basin cleaning operations -Coordinated with Glynn Electric and ESS for new ARFF Terminal Building Fire Control Panel Alarm programming and consulted with West Tisbury Building Inspector and West Tisbury Fire Chief on tamper alarm specifications -Ordered new water fountain for General Aviation Building that has a water filling station that tracks how many bottles of water it has saved from use picture of unit style to the right Water Department Accomplishments: -Completed monthly drinking water sample testing was satisfactory -Monthly water meter readings were collected and analyzed for high consumption, no abnormal conditions found this month -Continued to work with customers clarifying water bills and supplying supplemental water meter information for breakdowns 5
