Longer lasting, easy to maintain and highly efficient pumps for the most rugged corrosive services. The CNG pump has proven itself through more than 25 years of service. This experience has been on some of the toughest applications such as evaporator service, furnace feed and fuming sulfuric acids. With the ever increasing demand on pump reliability you can continue to count on the "Old CarnpaigneC This line of corrosion-resistant pumps covers a wide range of services in the Chemical and Pulp & Paper industries. Twenty-nihe pumps are available for capacities up to 4,900 gpm, heads to 4 ft. For maximum interchangeability, all 29 sizes are mounted on only five basic bearing frames. These pumps are available with packed stuffing boxes or mechanical seals. The basic design allows for conversion from packed box operation to mechanical seal operation or vice-versa after the pump is installed. Design flexibility allows modifications for a wide range of temperatures and pressures. Bearings: pumps are equipped with anti-friction ball bearings. All bearings are sized to take the thrust and radial loads encountered and are designed for a minimum average life of years. system of deflectors, covers, and lip seals. The liquid end of the pump is separately supported so that the bearing frame, shaft, and impeller, together with the stuffing box head may be removed from the pump without disturbing the liquid end or suction and discharge piping connections. The expeller option can be retrofitted to existing CNG pumps in your plant. A retrofit kit consisting of an expeller and stuffing box can be introduced to your existing pump at low cost. The use of a twin volute construction drastically reduces bearing loading and shaft deflection over the complete pumping range and allows the pump to operate over wide capacity variations without difficulty. Improved Expeller Operating Performance The expeller, positioned in a housing behind the impeller, is a sealing device that eliminates the need for packing or mechanical seals and a flush water system. The rotating expeller forces the pumped fluid away from the shaft and sleeve, eliminating leakage and virtually eliminating wear on these parts. Grease lubricated lip seals or packing rings are used as a static seal when the pump is not in operation. The expeller option can be retrofitted to existing CNG pumps in your plant. Smooth-flow Design Open impellers of simple configuration with open passages permit abrasives to flow through freely. This simple design gives you lower first cost and lower repair costs. Wearing rings are eliminated. Long Bearing Life Bearings are anti-friction ball type, conservatively sized to take the thrust and radial loads encountered. Bearing protection is provided by a system of deflectors, covers and lip seals which prevent contaminants from reaching and entering bearings. Oil lubrication is standard construction. The pump is supplied with a constant-level oiler and oil slinger. Minimum Shaft Deflection Shaft is designed to transmit required power to the impeller and to withstand radial loads with minimum deflection.
